IMPORTANT READ-ME

Please post authenticity questions related to COACH in this thread. No PMs please.
For further information, please refer to the first post on page 1 of this thread.

Please follow the following requests:
  • Before you submit a request for authentication, please search this thread to make sure that the item has not previously been authenticated by searching the seller ID and/or item number. This is not a thread to ask general questions about COACH, please refer to our main Coach forum for such information.
  • Note that authenticators have the right to refuse any requests. This is a free service, but it is imperative that you help our authenticators by using the following format:
  • FOR ITEMS LISTED ONLINE:
    Item:
    Listing number:
    Seller and site where listed
    Link:
    Comments:

  • FOR ITEMS NOT LISTED ONLINE:
    Item:
    Where purchased or how obtained
    Comments:
BASIC PICTURES REQUIRED (but more may be requested): If necessary pictures are in the listing, it's not necessary to upload and duplicate them.
  • Front of item
  • Back of item
  • Full clear and legible creed text and serial number
  • Made in tags (when available)
  • Measurements
  • For bags with turnlock closures, show pictures of back of female side of turnlock
  • For bags with magnetic snaps, show pictures of the male part of the snap so that the numbers and letters on it can be read
  • If applicable, search interior of bag and/or pockets for small white tag with production information and include a picture of that.
Thank you and be safe!

Thank you so much @Hyacinth! I do try to do a search but I think there's something wrong with either my network/desktop at times because when I key in a search term, I get the url https://forum.purseblog.com/search/search and it says no results. A search goes through only occasionally. I'd probably restart my comp after work and see how it goes.

The key is to keep it simple, just enter the seller's name and don't bother with all the other categories.

BTW, sometimes I accidently enter the search term on the line for "Posted by member" instead of "Keyword" and get that "no results" reply. It's easy to do, so double check that you typed it in the correct line. It's easy to make that mistake.

Good morning authenticators! Can you please authenticate this for me? Thx!
Item: small zippered pouch???
Seller: konkapot
Link: https://www.ebay.com/itm/324180684080

It's authentic but I don't know the style name or number.

I can't figure out what style it is either. :confused1:
I thought it looked like the Zippered Pouch.
From the Fall 1982 catalog:

Edit: @VintageIsBest you beat me to it!

Interestingly, even though you know there are posts in the entire "Coach" subforum and the ID should come up in a search, I find that it doesn't work when searching the entire subforum.

However when I search within the Coach sub (in this case, "Coach shopping"), I get all (or at least most) of the hits for her ID.

Since @kistae was looking at a listing from laur100, that's the ID I searched.

First, my search of "COACH" subforum -
search laur100 coach forum.png
and the results:
search laur100 coach forum results.png

Then, my search of "Coach Shopping"
search laur100 coach SHOPPING forum.png
and the results:

Purchased at a garage sale. It is much newer than I usually purchase. Not sure I have the correct photos. Can someone authenticate and tell me the name, etc? Thanks very much.

Light blue trail bag, i dunno about this one.
https://posh.mk/ehkS4QyyR6
Seller: june_cleaver

It's fake. Even if it were authentic, it wouldn't be a trail bag.

I know! I was just thinking, crap, I called it the wrong thing! Its a small flap?

It's nothing since it is fake. If it were real, it would be a legacy small flap.
Hmm. I wonder if june_cleaver is here. Once @whateve confirmed that the bag is fake, the listing was ended/removed. And I'm pretty sure PM didn't do it so maybe the seller did the right thing!

And if the seller reads TPF, she might want to know that it's not her only fake.
This is fake too:

And this was sold for nearly $100:

Before it was removed, I could have sworn there was a comment from our "favorite" self-appointed authenticator asking if the buckles were stamped.

Item: “Coach Sierra Dome Purse” is what it was listed as
Where purchased: Mercari (an online selling/buying website similar to eBay and Poshmark)
Comment: No. A1777-F58287
From some reason the website keeps having errors when I try uploading pictures of the Creed Text / Serial Number and the “made in” tag.
However the tag says “Made in Philippines” with a black filled-in circle next to the top of the s in the word “Philippines”.

Include a link to the Mercari listing. If there are sufficient pictures in the listing, you won't need to upload any of your own. We can't authenticate without all the required pictures.
