  • Before you submit a request for authentication, please search this thread to make sure that the item has not previously been authenticated by searching the seller ID and/or item number. This is not a thread to ask general questions about COACH, please refer to our main Coach forum for such information.
  • Note that authenticators have the right to refuse any requests. This is a free service, but it is imperative that you help our authenticators by using the following format:

BASIC PICTURES REQUIRED (but more may be requested): If necessary pictures are in the listing, it's not necessary to upload and duplicate them.
  • Front of item

  • Full clear and legible creed text and serial number
  • Made in tags (when available)
  • Measurements
  • For bags with turnlock closures, show pictures of back of female side of turnlock
  • For bags with magnetic snaps, show pictures of the male part of the snap so that the numbers and letters on it can be read
  • If applicable, search interior of bag and/or pockets for small white tag with production information and include a picture of that.

I do it too. I've pulled the trigger on bags too fast and bid then realized it was fake. I got my bid retracted when I contacted them and told them it was fake. GW of orange county and GW of Monacacy valley have COAs for all their stuff. They are really good about not selling fakes.

Don't trust those COAs. Some of them have been found to be wrong.

Interestingly, she doesn't have the fake listed there. She either knows it's fake or it was removed from ebay.

Aha! Yes, ebay seller handbagheadquarters listing was reported on the Hall of Shame thread!
First here on March 29:

So she DOES know it's fake and tried a different site to unload it!

Seller TheVintagemints has a history so you need to be careful. She's a mixer.

In this post from 2017, I commented that she doesn't show creeds in questionable items and also had a mix of fakes and genuine items:

I can't red the creed on the black "stewardess" so i'll request a better picture before commenting on that one but I'm suspicious.

The red one is fake.

OH DANG. Well even though it's fake, please find attached my potato quality photo of the creed (I tried to get a good one I swear!) for your viewing pleasure. And I pored through her listings/reviews before I decided to purchase the bags. And she's had so many sales. Gah. This was way before I realised that fakes are seriously prevalent in the resale market. I mean, wow.

If Etsy seller TheVintagemints is honorable and if this was an "honest" mistake, she should be more than willing to offer profuse apologies and give a full refund. But considering the number of times her listings have been posted here, I'm not optimistic.

This is embarrassing but I have a 3rd from her that is still stuck in customs. Since the other two are absolute duds, please authenticate this too:
