It's genuine, from 2000 and it's a Rambler's Legacy,. not a Rambler. There's no reason why it would have a "Made In" tag, classic and vintage styles said where they were made right on the creed stamp
Thank you for looking at it! Can I ask, what is the difference between rambler and ramblers’s legacy? Also it appears to have two bullet marks on the creed, does that mean it was a boutique bag that went to the outlet?

A Rambler is an earlier style that is much larger and has a tab for the turnlock. Rambler's Legacy was created in the late 90s, I assume as an homage to the original Rambler, but it really doesn't look much like the original. It was sent to the outlet. Two outlet stamps is just a mistake.

This is the only “vintage” bag I’ve ever had. Is this the nice leather everyone talks about? Or do you have to go even older than 2000 (I’m assuming that’s the case).
Individual bags vary by where they were made, when they were made, and how they were treated by their owners. Costa Rican leather from 2000 is incredibly nice as long as it wasn't mistreated by previous owners. I'm not sure you'll find anything better.

It looks good. I don't have any examples of this style in my files but I remember seeing that fabric before in other styles.

I wouldn't buy or recommend that anyone else buy from ANY seller who didn't show a clear readable photo of the creed and serial number, but especially not from a seller who's already had at least 2 or 3 fakes removed by Ebay and apparently still hasn't learned what buyers need to see. There's NOTHING in those photos that's helpful at all in figuring out if it's authentic and the buyer's record here doesn't help.

ETA - And did you notice that the front of the bag is 2 different shades of green? The seller claims
"The leather shows natural tonal variation which just adds to its vintage appearance."
That's a crock of bull-poop.[/QUOT
I did notice the variation, the unusual/different strap....the entire bag was just more of a wth??? than anything else!
Thanks for verifying Hyacinth!

I think this bag was accidentally removed. It looked genuine to me.

The Creed pic is not very readable. I asked for a better pic and will update if I hear back from the seller with a pic.

I agree, it looks genuine. But I'd still want to see a creed pic. I'm also wondering what's been done with the color. The white is just too bright

Hmm. I agree that the one removed seems okay however, maybe they intended to remove this one instead:

ETA: I think I figured out why the listing was removed. If the title was the same as the original listing, the seller incorrectly copied the serial number in the title and if someone thought the bag had an invalid serial number, they may have reported as fake.
Coach White Pebbled 6M-4919 Cross Body Handbag/Purse

That's my assumption as well. Someone saw that serial number and reported it.

I thought that it was possibly missing the first digit, the month code. I can't see it.

It could be missing. That's why I asked for a close up. Still no reply.

It would still be authentic even if that digit was missing. Mistakes like that could happen.

We've seen a few of those mid-1990s bags with a missing digit, as well as a lot of other bags, mostly Sonomas, with mixed-up digits in the serial prefixes. I just can't believe anyone would be stupid enough to report it based only on what the seller SAID the serial number was.

Nooooo, on second thought, I can think of maybe one person.
Not only did granslittleacre ignore @houseof999's legitimate request but she relisted an (I trust) authentic bag without either correcting her title or explaining the anomaly.
Coach White Pebbled 6M-4919 Cross Body Handbag/Purse

I'm betting that there is a month code. (The listing in question is the first creed. Other 2 are comps.)
