The bag is fine. The first letter looks like a B to me also and if so, was made in Feb. 2000.

Style 9073 is an Andrea bucket.

I didn't recognize you!

I didn't recognise her either. It must be the new "do".

That's what I'd call a serious case of Lockdown Locks. :giggle:

Don't worry, BB, it will grow out.

Eventually. ;)

Dear Authenticators,
If anyone has time to check this out I'd really appreciate it.
Item: Dinky

Comments: If this is legit, what's with the pebbled leather? It looks intentional, like tumbled Berkeley leather, did they just use what they had on hand?

As always, thanks so much!
It's authentic. Some older bags look a little pebbled. It wasn't intentional, I don't believe. I read once that when these bags were new, they were more pebbled and then smoothed out as they were used. Conversely, maybe they got more pebbled with use. I don't know. Once I had my hands on a NYC bag with light pebbling that didn't look like it had ever been used. On the other hand, I had a NYC burgundy basic bag that also didn't look like it had ever been used and it was as smooth as could be.

Thanks, you rock! I'd really like to find out what the pebbling is about. It looks very uniform, like it was meant to be like that, yet the inside is smooth. Weird.

It's a genuine Becket Zip 9920 from the early 1990s.

I'm a bit concerned about the condition of the leather. There's a lot more "texture" than normal especially around the top and sides, and if you look at the photo the top has a different texture than lower down on the bag. I'm wondering if the leather has been overstretched in those areas, maybe from overloading. It doesn't happen often with Coaches but it can.
Thanks for your quick response and the thoughts on the leather. I was curious as to why it seem textured, but just wondered if it was a random quirk. I'll take a look again.

LOL! It's my new Corona quarantine do! Do you like it?

And @Hyacinth, what makes you think I want it to grow out?

I think this bag was accidentally removed. It looked genuine to me.

The Creed pic is not very readable. I asked for a better pic and will update if I hear back from the seller with a pic.

I agree, it looks genuine. But I'd still want to see a creed pic. I'm also wondering what's been done with the color. The white is just too bright

Hmm. I agree that the one removed seems okay however, maybe they intended to remove this one instead:

ETA: I think I figured out why the listing was removed. If the title was the same as the original listing, the seller incorrectly copied the serial number in the title and if someone thought the bag had an invalid serial number, they may have reported as fake.
