This is not a thread to ask general questions about COACH, please refer to our main Coach forum for such information.

    Link:
    Comments:

  • FOR ITEMS NOT LISTED ONLINE:
    Item:
    Where purchased or how obtained
    Comments:
BASIC PICTURES REQUIRED (but more may be requested): If necessary pictures are in the listing, it's not necessary to upload and duplicate them.
  • Front of item
  • Back of item
  • Full clear and legible creed text and serial number
  • Made in tags (when available)
  • Measurements
  • For bags with turnlock closures, show pictures of back of female side of turnlock

  • If applicable, search interior of bag and/or pockets for small white tag with production information and include a picture of that.
Thank you and be safe!

@BeenBurned thanks for the link. Will peruse this with horrified fascination.

This is embarrassing but I have a 3rd from her that is still stuck in customs. Since the other two are absolute duds, please authenticate this too:

This one looks good. When you get it, make sure it matches the pictures.
This is further evidence (as noted years ago) that she's a mixer.

And IMO, sellers who mix fakes and authentic items are often more dangerous than sellers who only list fakes. Buyers feel a sense of trust in seeing positive feedback and a perceived history of non-issues.

I usually only authenticate older styles, but I noticed yesterday when I checked out Ebay's forums that someone had asked about a similar bag, and looking at that post again it looks like it's the same creed patch photo in both forums. I'd made copies for my photo files of the comps that the autheticator at Ebay posted and they're identical.

So if that's your bag, you're ok. I've known the Ebay poster who authenticated it for quite a while and she's really good at what she does, just check the number of "helpfuls" in her Ebay forum profile. If she says it's good, it's good. That's why I make a point of saving the photos she posts. There are a few others at Ebay's forum who claim to be authenticators but have made some pretty inexcusable mistakes, but she gets it right every time. I've been authenticating Coaches myself for probably 15 years but she's the best I've ever come across, especially with styles from the last 10 years or so. They're a lot more complicated than the vintage and classic styles I stick to, so I'm perfectly happy to let someone more experienced than myself handle the tough ones.

(Rumor has it that she may be a member here at tPF too, but you didn't hear that from me. )
Thank you so very very much for your help and expertise!

Oh I just realized who you were speaking of. I asked on Ebay and she was phenomenal! !Research was extraordinary!!! Her authentication was greatly valued and appreciated... I was completely satisfied with her analogy and expertise. She rocks... Hands down!

1- seller LAUR100 has quite a history selling fakes, especially fake Stewardess Bags. That's why we ( and the forum Rules) tell posters to check a seller's history.

This one may be genuine but I wouldn't buy from that seller.

2- genuine, from 2001

3 and 4 also look good

Thank you so much @Hyacinth! I do try to do a search but I think there's something wrong with either my network/desktop at times because when I key in a search term, I get the url https://forum.purseblog.com/search/search and it says no results. A search goes through only occasionally. I'd probably restart my comp after work and see how it goes.

The seller's history might be one of the reasons why laur100 isn't on ebay any longer and now has to list on Etsy:

Ebay: laur100 (2869)
No longer a registered user

Good morning authenticators! Can you please authenticate this for me? Thx!
Item: small zippered pouch???
Seller: konkapot
Link: https://www.ebay.com/itm/324180684080

It's authentic but I don't know the style name or number.

I can't figure out what style it is either. :confused1:

@VintageIsBest - If you haven't paid for it yet or the seller hasn't shipped it, you could ask the seller for a photo of one of the sides of the bag so you can see how the strap attaches. I'm wondering if maybe the strap was added later because I can'tfind anything in my catalogs that looks like that, and the seller doesn't show any photo of the sides of the bag.
