Hi there, I came across this listing for a Coach backpack in mint condition and I'm curious about its authenticity:

Item: Coach Vintage 'Back Pack' Willis Purse
Seller: VintageCoach4Less @etsy
https://www.etsy.com/sg-en/listing/796712182/coach-vintage-super-rare-willis-back?ref=user_profile

Comment: Is there a catalog featuring this bag available? It looks proper vintage and interesting!
It's authentic.

We don't generally talk about price because items aren't necessarily worth a flat amount and because a seller can ask whatever amount they want, but IMO, that's a LOT of money for that bag. (As much as I like Coach, I wouldn't pay that for a Coach!) JMHO.

Haha based on the prices for vintage Coach leather goods i've seen so far, this definitely costs way more than an arm and a leg. Very unique design and great condition though. Thanks for the quick revert.

Hi! Could you please take a look at this bag?
Item: Maggie?
Site and seller: Ebay, lina4868
https://www.ebay.com/itm/Vintage-Co...337300&hash=item1f10447f4a:g:tdIAAOSw-~lexwv6
Hmm. The seller is a picture thief and although she clearly has a camera and knows how to use it (as evidenced by a bunch of her other listings), I'm not sure that any of the pictures in this listing are her own.

Of the 6 pictures in the listing, 3 were stolen from this Poshmark listing:
https://poshmark.com/listing/Coach-Rare-Vintage-Maggie-Mustard-Bag-KVD9019-5dfebd55e974fbd728b9d0dc

And she wasn't the buyer of the Poshmark listing as it isn't the same bag.

Personally, I wouldn't recommend lina4868 but if you want the bag, I'd ask the seller for her own pictures of the bag and the creed, in this case, possibly requesting a piece of paper with her ebay ID name on it.

Style 9019 is highly faked and you want to be sure that the bag you're seeing is the bag you're going to get.

I'll add just a comment or two after seeing the name of the seller (who has been discussed here and in other forums because of similar pricing examples). "Rare" doesn't always mean "valuable". In some cases it just means that a style just didn't sell and Coach withdrew it from production. Maybe there were too many similar styles, or maybe something about a specific style turned out to be impractical or uncomfortable or some other issue that potential buyers couldn't deal with. For example, I don't have a lot of experience with backpacks but I'm wondering if that dowel might make the bag incomfortable to carry. Backpacks are supposed to be MORE comfortable than handbags, not less. That could be why that bag had to be marked down just to sell it, note the stamped "X" on the creed.

JMO.
