Good morning, authenticators. Bored watching the television last night, I submitted an offer for this and it was accepted.

Not sure of my judgment while watching a Joan Crawford movie (Mildred Pierce--I've seen it so many times I can quote dialogue. Still a great watch. Hate it when the daughter dies. Used ebay to distract me.)

Genuine, but not from the 1980s as the seller claims and it's certainly NOT made in New York. I wonder if the seller ever read the creed stamp. It's a Companion Flap and was made in 1999

(says smugly) Yep, I knew that! I learned that P is for the Costa Rica plant from this thread! Knew it was 1999. Funny, while I knew all of that was incorrect, I basically ignored it. Worried more about the overall bag itself. Thank you once more, Hyacinth!

I’ve been made an offer on a green Casino that I’ve been watching and really like. Seller is 2014rainbowdash.

I searched the seller’s name in this forum and a post came up. Hyacinth authenticated a bag from the same seller with the exact same pictures back in February in post 46503.
That bag sold then:

I’m wondering if the bag was returned. Any thoughts?

Nice bag!
OT:
Yes, I love that movie, too. The newer version with Kate Winslet wasn’t as good. The other day, would you believe that “Mildred Pierce” and “Mommie Dearest” were on at the same time??!! My 13 year old son heard screaming and came out of his room. When I explained who Joan Crawford was and what the movie (MD) was about, he watched it and loved it. He then immediately went on YouTube and began watching parodies. He really is my kid!!! This was his favorite:
BTW, it’s a good one to give kids some perspective if they’re old enough and to earn a mom a few brownie points. He said, “Geeezz, Mom, all for some hangers. Look at my room and you just fuss a little. You’re easy on me.” LOL!

The bag shown in the current active listing is authentic.

I'm not so concerned about the same bag having been authenticated a few months ago. The listing shows that the seller ended the listing early "because an error in the listing" so it didn't sell at that time.

Ebay gives little choice when ending listings so an error isn't necessarily the reason it was ended.

For those who don't sell, you may not realize this but with fixed price listings, they automatically renew every 30 days (when the listing ends) and although it's easier for sellers to let the listing just renew, some sellers end the listings a day or 2 early in order to relist and have it come up in "by newest" searches. And that may be what the seller did.

My bigger question for the seller would be why it's currently for sale when she had a buyer on May 9 in this listing:
