A while ago I bought a Coach wallet but can’t seem to find it on the internet. Now I’m afraid that it’s not an authentic wallet. I did however, pay good money for this. Anyone that can help me out?

The tag says: N• B1880 -29715

1- genuine, late 1980s
2- genuine, also late 1980s
3- not a recommended seller, they've been discussed dozens of times here at tPF and even if their listing is genuine I won't authenticate it, because I wouldn't want to give them any kind of OK under ANY circumstances. If the Toolhaus.org site was still working you could see years of neutral and Negatives from that seller's Ebay record, not just about fakes but also a lot of problems with items that were "significantly not as described".

There are 14 pages of posts here where they're mentioned:

Thanks for the authentication and the heads up on the Everett seller.
Alas my search for a cheap blue Everett for my 9yo shall continue...

I'm a bit confused. Is that your listing? Or are the pictures you posted of the actual bag you have in your possession? Did your MIL buy from Coach or from jeptall?

Based on what I see in jeptall's listings, I believe that the seller sells fakes so if those listings are for comparison, it's a bad idea to use them as an example and I don't recommend the seller.

As for the bag you have in your possession that your MIL says came from Coach, I'm requesting a couple more pictures and more info. (I'm assuming you're located in the Philippines and I'm sorry to say that we've seen many scary close fakes and either extreme caution and diligence is required before choosing a store or seller or better yet, avoidance of buying from that country is my suggestion.

Please post pictures of the reverse side of the "made in" tag as well as a picture of a white tag that should be somewhere inside the bag, most likely way down inside the zippered pocket. You may have to turn the pocket inside out to find and take a picture of it.

It may be awkward but can you ask your MIL where the Coach store is from which she purchased. (I'm concerned that if it's in the Philippines, it may not actually be a "Coach" store but a copycat/fake selling one.)

Mil bought this from what I understand off the coach website. I have another bag she bought with it that I was able to verify as authentic. The ebay listing I posted is just a reference as it took me nearly 4 hours just to find the exact same bag I have in my possesion. So for the confusion I am sorry as this is completely new waters for me!

As for your request. I live in canada, east coast. also..... I looked extensively allll over the internet for where that bloody tag is and I just found it so I seriously appreciate you telling me where to look. here are the photos requested, thank you again.IMG_20200430_111824.jpg IMG_20200430_111856.jpg

This is the perfect example of why (for authentication purposes) we don't need or want to see pictures of items that look the same. The Filippino seller's item is (supposedly) 33960 according to the description but your bag is 35074.

While similar styles, they are NOT an apples to apples comparison. I'm not sure what the exact differences are but being different style numbers, they aren't the exact same.

I believe your bag is fine. Other opinions are welcome.

I’m sorry there was an error on the seller
It’s daves-restoration-works
It's fine, made in 2004.
