Although @Hyacinth couldn't find another bag from the same month/year/plant, not only was I was able to find picture of a creed with prefix, I googled and found one from the same style bag. So the full serial number is identical. (I wonder if it's the same bag.)

Both have the same mistakes and both are from fake bags.

I think they're the same bag. The stitching around the creed patch in the lower left corner curves slightly in the same way, and the lining around the creed seems to have the same bellies and faint wrinkles in the same places.

Hello there experts,

I came across two handbags this weekend and would like to see if they are genuine or fakes. The first is j3j-6818. I read that this is a commonly faked Coach, but I don’t want to assume one way or another. The second is c0720-f10280. I can provide more pictures if needed. Thanks in advance!

The first one is fake, there's an important detail missing on the bag and the stitching around the creed is messy and the thread is too thick and coarse.

The second one seems OK but I don't have any photos of that style for comparison.

More opinions are welcome on these too.

May I get some assistance please. Inherited, I know zero about Coach so thanks for any help.
I googled and looked on this forum but only saw a thread about the 9727 number being wrong ?
Item Name: Coach ?
Item No C043-9727
Approximate size is 11 x 11

I don't see any problems, but I don't know the name. It was made in 2004.

#1 is fake but it's one of those with a "valid" serial number for both the style and the timeframe.

Here's a listing for an authentic bag of the same style with the same serial number. Compare the details:

#2 is fine and is a Hamilton (or Hamptons) large hobo. "HML" still doesn't have a conclusive meaning. This is a tag from that style showing the name:
