Both are genuine.
The first is a Legacy Top Of Counter Compartment Bag (I'm not kidding, that's the name on the webpage!) made in 2000.

the second is a Hamptons Leather Lunch Tote from 2001.

Thank you Hyacinth! My luck is holding, huh? I have 3 more to post from my vintage shopping spree. I will do so over the next few days, but I just have to say once more that I appreciate this forum so much.

I understand your position on Poshmark and Mercari and agree that the people they employ aren't qualified to determine the authenticity of Coach bags. (Recent trends at eBay seem to suggest they're equally inept, removing genuine bags on the flimsiest of pretexts. But I digress.)

That being said, I can think of at least one reason to respond to those Poshmark and Mercari authentication requests here. If the bag was fake, you'd be doing a valuable service to potential buyers by warning them not to buy it. That would be a strike against both the seller and, indirectly, the platform they're selling on.

Just my 2 cents.
I do usually comment on fakes on those sites. (And my comments aren't too complimentary!)

It really irks me that he called you "honey". I don't like that man.

+1. You can add "sweety" "sweetheart" to that list too.

Yep, I agree 100 percent! We're NOT his "honeys" and he sure as shyte isn't ours. Does anyone remember the abbreviation "MCP?" Set the Wayback Machine for the 1960s. :annoyed:
I know what you meant but looked it up again to confirm and started recalling Mad Men episodes!

Hi! Can you please authenticate? Thanks to @katev for the enabling ;)
Item: Pocket purse?

Comments: thanks so much for all of my recent requests...need to take a break from the rehabs but it’s definitely an addiction now, lol.

It looks good.

Authenticators: @VintageIsBest has completed the rehab of the Made in NYC Pocket Purse that she bought for only $18 and the results are amazing!

Yep! Maybe the "Male Chauvinist Pig" mindset didn't actually start in the 60s, but it's when a lot of it was brought out in the open. Some clueless bozos apparently never got the memo that it's not cool any more.
