I am hoping someone might be able to authenticate this for me. I bought at Goodwill online and just received it today. https://www.shopgoodwill.com/Item/81783759
I'm hoping to have it authenticated and maybe some idea of value. Creed tag is a little hard to read but supposedly this is limited edition bag to commemorate Reed Krakoffs tenth anniversary as creative director. THANK YOU IN ADVANCE!

I'm leaning towards authentic on this. I think I remember Reed Krakoff anniversary bags and that lining looks familiar. More opinions are welcome.
I don’t see any problems either.

After much detailed discussion (Dec. 25-26) surrounding the F plant, I came across this listing. It's not from the years of the other bags we discussed, it has a very different font from the others and it's on a Taft, another highly and well-faked style.

I'll agree with the response someone posted at Ebay's Fashion forum about the same bag.

"There are only a handful of authentic items with F plant codes, and they all are briefcase and business styles made from 1993 to 1995. The F plant designation may have been given VERY briefly to a plant in Korea making pilot or sample travel bags. But the fonts used in both stamps are completely different than this one. So far, every F plant code found in a purse has been fake and this one probably is too. The F plant code has NEVER been found in any genuine purse.

The Coach logo above the creed is completely illegible and that would never have been seen in a genuine Coach either. I wonder if a previous owner who found out that it was fake scratched the name out believing that would make it a generic purse and easier to sell, the name Coach in the first line of the creed also looks partly scratched out too. Obviously the current seller either doesn't know that its fake and that someone tried to ""neuter" it, or doesnt care."

Makes sense to me. The Coach name sure looks like it's been scratched off the top of the creed. Pics at the above Ebay discussion, or click on the thumbnails

If you'd like more *8R for your files, I'll share mine, some of which I'm sure came from you.

ETA: Although named as 1998, I believe the brown one is 1996.

I'm surprised that you have more than one or two *8Rs, but I haven't really been watching for them lately Have you decided if any of them are, or might be, genuine?. If you have the time to PM a few over to me, that would be great, thanks!

Duh!

btw, that post on eBay hadn’t been made when I posted here.

It's definitely genuine, but I'm still trying to find an approximate date for it. Was there any date on the club tickets?

ETA - Never mind, I found it. From the Holiday 1989 catalog, Womens Wallet Clutch, style number 4812, original retail $128.

I just met someone locally and purchased three bags. It was a quick parking lot exchange but they were only $5/each so I’ll take the loss if they aren’t authentic. Here’s the first of the three.

Name: J6M-9953 Helen Berg’s Legacy BagView attachment 4629199View attachment 4629197 View attachment 4629197View attachment 4629202 View attachment 4629200View attachment 4629201

The first two, the Helens Legacy bags, are both genuine.

ETA - So is the Soho.. Congratulations!

I have finally received this bag so I have a better picture of Creed Tag and think this may be authentic but wondered if you would mind looking at the pictures and giving an opinion. It looks like a limited edition Reed Krakoff 10th anniversary as creative director which I'm assuming is why there was 10 made?

Seems ok to me, now that we've found another similar one for comparison. The serial number still doesn't make any sense in relation to how serial number codes are supposed to be, but it's a "vanity project" and apparently immune to things like rules. Typical for Coach, actually.

Yippee! Thanks so much, Hyacinth. Getting my husband to start watching “Oulander” with me (from the beginning, no less) AND this news from you...great start to the new year!,
I’m headed over to the rehab board now. These are the first bags that I’ve purchased that need a good dunking and some work. At that price, I’m not worried about trying it.
Thanks again!
