• For bags with turnlock closures, show pictures of back of female side of turnlock

Hi, please authentic. I purchased this on EBay recently. I included the link but the photos in the listing appear to be Coach stock photos. I can’t find a 1941 stamp hidden on it anywhere. The 1941 textured lining is in the inside pocket. I was surprised the overall lining is fabric and not suede like the outside. Seller states she purchased at Bloomingdale’s. I asked for a photo copy of the original receipt. I don’t have a local Coach store to see anything in person for comparison. Thank you!

I posted what i had. I'd saved several but they were duplicates. Between my posts and Whateve's, that all she wrote!

Both posters must have been on the same wavelength.

So what do you think of the Ebay poster's conclusion that the Coach name was scratched off the bag because the owner or seller found out it was fake?

It's hard to tell whether an attempt was made to scratch off the "Coach" name but it's certainly hard to read.

Are the pictures you posted your own pictures of the bag you received? If so, I think it's okay.

But in the future, try to avoid sellers who are too lazy to take their own pictures of the items they sell.

And note that a receipt doesn't really prove much since receipts can be (and often are) faked or genuine receipts from a legit purchase can be used to "prove" authenticity of a fake.

The pictures posted, I took of the actual bag I received. Thank you for the education, and I appreciate your time. Most of my newer Coach bags have the 1941 stamp, this one does not...it made me wonder about it.

Yep, that's what I thought it was, Metropolis Flap from 1997, organizer panel and brass feet, It's genuine. The keyfob might be missing.
