I agree completely. Only one "amazing" thing on Poshmark ever caught my eye. It was a style I'd never seen before and still haven't found a name for, but I'm absolutely sure that it's genuine, and I went over the seller's photos literally with a magnifying glass. It's like a larger version of the Willis (something I've always wished for!) but without a top handle, which I never use anyway. And it was RED. I carried it as my Christmas bag over the last week.

What is the style number? Thanks.

I purchased this Coach from Ebay. Is it authentic? The tag looked off to me and stitching. Thank you in advance for your feedback.

Item: Madison Carlyle 4401 (1994, Italy)
Seller: Local Charity Gift Shop, $20
Comments: I surely don't need another Carlyle bag because I already have one in black, but this one is red and in very good condition - so what could I do?! I caved in and bought it of course! Please offer an opinion on authenticity, thanks so much!

Edited to add: Per Hyacinth the red color was called Cherry in 1994 and a 1996 catalog page for the Carlyle (no red) lists the original price as $286.

oh its pretty...and red...we are all for the red at the moment.

Crazy here right along with you. I am still a sucker for a NYC bag. There is something about that Creed, indicating some body was working in that loft, being paid a living wage. I never miss an opportunity, whether I am posting or talking about a bag to highlight it was crafted in NYC! I am lucky to have a girlfriend who really enjoys my thrift story telling.

Thanks for reminding me to put that on my list of things to find this year. I also look at the pictures of employees in the vintage catalogs.

This!!! Lol, enjoy that beauty.

The pictures of the employees in the vintage catalogs are actually from that book.
