Good day authenticators,
Item Name: Skinny Tote (I believe it is a Skinny Tote)

Link: No link; it is in my possession

Dimensions: approx. View attachment 4620020 View attachment 4620021 View attachment 4620022 13 1/2” x 11”

Comments: I am intrigued by this creed. I noticed in previous threads that there were other bags that had a similar format. Please let me know if you need additional photos and thanks in advance.

It's perfectly normal for a creed and serial from the mid to late 1970s

I can't remember if I ever got this bag checked out but I tried listing and Mercari just told me their 3rd party authentication team was unable to verify my item and removed my listing. Can you ladies take a look just to confirm?
Item: Helen's legacy 9953
Bag is in my possession.
Serial number D5D-9953

It's a genuine Helen's Legacy Duffle from 1995.

(If the first pic is the same as what you used in the listing, you should remove the other bag from the photos if it's not part of the listing.)

You're correct. Also, look at the second-to-last photo, the color of the strap and strap mounting tab on at least one side doesn't maych the rest of the bag. The underside of the turnlock plate has indentations for the prongs and it shouldn't.
Thank you...you have all been great teachers...but I have so much to learn. Putting in hall of shame now.

Hi, please help with this one:
Item: Collegiate (6 x 8)
Listing number: N/A

I bought this purse, but not sure if it's authentic. Hope someone can let me know. The creed has has been quite worn away. View attachment 4619946 View attachment 4619975 View attachment 4619975

Thank you! :flowers: I didn't send that pic. I thought it was fine but sometimes D plant serial numbers can be tricky so just needed to verify. They requested front, back, serial number, made in tag and zipper head pics. I took the bag off and took pics of this bag by itself. Those bag photos submitted for authentication were not part of listing photos and they even say that customers won't see them.

ETA: the third party is Real Authentication.

Proof that their authenticators are clueless about Coaches is the fact that they want a photo of the zipper head, even though the zipper brand can't prove a thing about authenticity. BeenBurned just posted another screwed-up authentication from "Real Authentication" just a day or two ago.

Don't depend on any COA or opinions from " REAL AUTHENTICATION "

Thank you for your reply. (Glad to know I'm not the only one up this late.) I'm always learning something new on this forum. I did some digging in the forum about similar looking creeds. I was fascinated by what looks like an oval shaped element on the creed that contains the number. I think that the kisslock coin pocket at the front is so adorable. Thank you again.

I got a vintage bag from the shopgoodwill site, which I found to be fake through the authenticators here. Goodwill was actually very quick and responsive (surprisingly) and they paid for the return shipping, after I explained it was a counterfeit item. They told me that they were going to run it by another authentication group and if they also found it to be fake, they would refund me but if they didn’t, they would mail the bag back to me. I included with the package a list of things that pointed it out to be fake just in case, similar to what you did when you messaged the seller. In the end, they did deem it to be fake and I was refunded really quickly. Hopefully they will do the same for you!

Thanks CPSE, that's definitely encouraging news. I won't hear from them until after the weekend unfortunately.

Was that purchased from an online Goodwill (or other) listing?

I don't believe it's authentic. It's the wrong font for the G plant. Also, in your picture, it looks like the creed stamp is on the left side of the pocket. It should be on the right, as in this picture showing an authentic bag:

Just out of curiosity, I'm wondering if this bag is fake as well? It has silver toned buckles and grommets in the same style as my fake does but the creed is on the right side. Also your pictured bag and the others I've seen so far have solid metal zippers on the inside flap but mine has very thin plastic black zipper teeth. I just want to make sure I don't claim a condition of counterfeit to good will and be incorrect about it.

Am I correct in thinking this is not authentic...as it has a Y month code?

I hadn't had any Y month code pictures in my records so I saved a couple of pics from spradmart2015's listing.

That bag is authentic. It was made in 1998. Your bag is unquestionably fake.
