Happy New Year Ladies...fellow tPF members. This bag is in my possession. I'm pretty sure it's authentic. Whateve mentioned it a couple of weeks earlier in the Chat/Finds/Deals thread.

Sonoma Pocket Purse

seller: 3635carrie
http://www.ebay.com/itm/COACH-Navy-...U4hkarc8cK%2BZow3sOO4%3D&orig_cvip=true&rt=nc

The creed patch is uber faint and difficult to read. I used light blue, then white eye shadow, a magnifying glass and am only certain of the last four numbers 4924 The first three may be F2M or 57M

With a magnifying glass I was able to read the actual description...

This is a Coach bag. It was
handcrafted in Costa Rica
of natural full grain cowhide
that is water resistant and
exceptionally durable. Gentle
tumbling provides a distinctive
texture with natural grain
variations.

Please authenticate. Thank you.

I've added a few pictures of my own.

The serial number looks like either E or F7m-4924 and it's a genuine Sonoma Pocket Zip

Here's another reason not to buy from intique. In addition to trying to unload that other previously removed fake (several times), intique also sold this one for $85. In case it's removed, I'll post a picture of the creed.

Someone really got screwed with that one. Let's hope they figure it out and can get their money back.

1) not enough information, no creed picture
2) authentic pocket purse
3) authentic Madison Carlyle
4) also authentic Madison Carlyle - the letters and numbers before the dash indicate the date and place of manufacture. The first letter is the month code.
More information here: http://www.ebay.com/gds/Coach-Serial-Numbers-the-Basic-Facts-/10000000034886433/g.html

The last bag is definitely fake. There are a lot of style mistakes and weird hardware/zipper pulls. I don't even need to see the creed to know it is fake.

I found two sellers, both from Oakland, CA and I'm looking for opinions on their keychains.

I have my own ideas but would like further opinions. I'll post TWO DIFFERENT LISTINGS AND STYLES with their pictures and a comp picture of a known authentic version of the same style.

My main concerns are with the chain links - shape and thickness gauge, with the enameled hangtag and with the lips.

COMPARE TO AUTHENTIC:

Hi - I know it was a while ago, but I'm doing some catch up reading!
One of the things I have found on the fake fobs is the thickness/finish/texture on the enameled parts. For instance the "lips". On the fake it is more flat, while on the authentic items the enameled parts are more "PLUMP". You can see this same effect on most of the enameled areas. Also compare the silver middle part of the fake lipstick ...it is a little rough or sandy, while the authentic has a super smooth finish, and also more three-dimensional. I will say though that it is downright SCARY how good they are getting!

Is that the right strap with the pocket purse? Link again The one I got a couple months back had a non-adjustable one. Or is this another one where you could switch them out at the store? (It's really weird that this seller lives in the next town over from me, and I probably know exactly where they bought this bag.)

In the early days Coach offered a nonadjustable strap with this bag, but this one is a fairly recent version. The description Coach had for 2003 included an adjustable strap.

This could be useful with the detachable strap. Could you authenticate? About the size of a city bag, just not as deep. No back pocket. Thank you so much!

Convertible Clutch perhaps?

Creed is No J4D 1443

Says Coach Leatherworks Est 1941 on front.

Need to know if real or not before I list it on ebay for sale.

Please read post #1 in this thread for the information we need you to supply.

And we ALWAYS need photos but in this case I can make an exception. If you've copied the serial number correctly, the bag is FAKE. Style 1443 is one of the most widely faked styles on record, and the year code stands for 1994 - that style 1443 wan't even made until ten years after that, and that style would never have had a D plant code either.

You can't sell it or trade it ANYWHERE. And if you bought it reecently you should demand a full refund. If you follow the instructions in post One we might be able to help you get a refund if the purchase is recent enough,
