Good Evening,

I am considering purchasing this lovely little bag as an extra special XMAS gift for my sister in law who has turned me on to Vintage Coach.

Could you please authenticate and also let me know if the bag is from the 70's/80's as I did not think the creed patch was used before the nineties?

Item: 1970s/80s Dinky Bag
Measurements: 9 by 5.75 by 2 Inches

It's authentic. It has no relation to Bonnie Cashin as the seller claims as she left Coach before creeds were used. It is from the late 70s up to the late 80s. They began to use the creed in the late 70s. After 1988, they opened up a second plant and the creeds went from saying "made in New York City" to "made in the United States." In 1994 they stopped using unique serial numbers and instead started using a coded system that included the style number.

Hi. Is this is a fake due to the P factory code but stamped made in United States? Am I remembering that P is Costa Rica factory? I’ve learned from you ladies definitely not to trust the COA that is shown with the bag.

Yup, it's fake and another authentication that Entrupy got wrong!

ETA: I don't know how much money Goodwill is paying for these "authentications" but they really should be demanding refunds and letting Entrupy know of the mistakes!

Good morning authenticators,
I saw a vintage Coach bag on Ebay, the reason I haven't posted the link yet is because I am still waiting for the seller to post a clear picture of the full creed.

However, from what I could made out from the pictures, it said Coach then leatherwear underneath.
What it looked slightly different from my limited experience with looking at the vintage creed is at the bottom it said made in usa. Not "New York City, USA" or "United States". Could this be a fake ?
Should I past on this bag as the seller has not got back to me in 2 days.
Many thanks in advance x

They should. But they have decided to trust Entrupy, so in their view, Entrupy is the expert and anyone else's opinion doesn't count.

(Some of the shopgoodwill stores are adding the cost of the Entrupy authentication to their "handling" charge, passing on the cost to the customer.)
