I believe it's genuine as long as the hardware is actually brass-color and not silver. The photos look over-lighted so maybe that's washing out the actual hardware color. Silver-color or nickel hardware wasn't introduced on most handbags including the Patricia's Legacy until 1998 so seeing it on a handbag from late 1995 would be a problem.
It looks like brass on my tablet so might take a chance. Thank you again.

Hello all, I am writing to have the following bag authenticated as well.coach black ridgefield bag - 1 (2).jpgcoach black ridgefield bag - 2 (2).jpg coach black ridgefield bag - 2 (3).jpgcoach black ridgefield bag - 3 (1).jpgcoach black ridgefield bag - 1 (3).jpg

Item: Coach Ridgefield black bag
Listing number: None—it is in my possession.
Seller: None
Link: No Link.
Comments: It measures about 7” high x 10 1/4” wide. The bottom depth is approximately 2 1/2” give or take.

The number looks like: K0D-9812. The creed says it was made in the United States. Because it’s black inside it was hard to get a perfect photo. Please let me know if you need any others and I’ll give it another shot. Thank you very much and have a good evening.

Right, I phrased that badly. I was just hoping for an easier tell, but it seems that fakes are so ubiquitous, you just have to be very knowledgeable to tell ! Thanks again for the very detailed explaination
You can't tell by the amount of use a bag has. Some fakes get used a lot because the owners don't know they are fake or don't care. On an authentic vintage bag, the dye goes all the way through the bag, whereas on some fakes that might not be the case, so the worn areas could look whiter on the fake. Sometimes on fakes the inside suede isn't the same color as the exterior.

I find that bags of a usable size get a lot more wear. It is fairly easy to find an authentic small vintage bag in excellent condition.

Comments-Love the colour, looks ok condition wise to me...am aware of the penmark..no hangtag again..
Thank you all again for looking out for us.

You're probably right, the leather color on my computer looks much lighter than Coach's red usually looks, so I think the color of the hardware was washed out by the lighting too. Good luck!
The hardware is brass. Although I think her flash washed out the colors a lot, I can see that it's gold.

Thank you for this information. I'm kind of surprised that it is that "recent". I wasn't aware that they were making these heritage styles that late. I tend to associate that time period with the C Signature pattern more than the full leather. Love to learn, that's what the purse forum is about. Thank you again for taking the time to let me know and have a good night.

I just wanted to say that my daughter has an extra large wristlet from this exact same Campbell line (same Campbell line, same fabric, same color). ... I remember well when that short-lived Campbell line came out because we bought multiple things from it. ...... Anyway, I just checked that wristlet, and its "made in China" tag is identical to the "made in China" tag that houseof999 posted above. It's that same semi-translucent type of plastic. Daughter's wristlet was also deemed "too small" by Coach to warrant a creed (as I know Coach often decided in the old days), so I checked for those white tags with style numbers they've started putting in, and it did *not* have one. So in other words, daughter's wristlet from this same line, was also considered "too small" to warrant a creed, and this particular line was apparently before Coach started putting in those white tags with the style numbers.

Hope it was ok to add that. (And I apologize that it took me so many hours to even think to check. Duh.)
Thank you so much for checking! I truly appreciate it!

This one has my head scratching. Originally there was no pictures of the inside. I assumed it was fake based on the buckle but to confirm I asked the seller for the Creed pic. I thought it would a common fake I could easily recognize. But this one has me surprised! Have you seen another fake or genuine bag with this serial number before?
