I took a chance on this one and now am a little concerned its fake.
Here was the listing:

she provided the style number in her listing and I did find one talked about here in a thread on Purse Forum as a limited edition genuine croc. Mini tanner, but the color shown on TPF was rose with no mention of other colors that it might have been available in.

I noticed she'd sold one in green a week or so before I bought this one.,,

Whats throwing me off is that it says made in USA) I didn't think anything was made in the US anymore). the listing said it was it was a limited edition, and it DOES have a limited edition plate inside but with no numbers listed, just. I also just now noticed that the inner pocket that has the creed patch attached has been partially sewn up......so my hinky meter is now on high alert.

have you received the bag already?

If so, please look inside the pocket and see if there's a tag with a serial number and/or style number. Please post a pic.

I'm bothered by the limited edition patch without any numbers on it, the made in US on the creed and a couple of other things.

Yes I have it in hand, and there are no other tags inside other than the creed patch and limited edition patch.

It's interesting.


This is the green one she sold. Notice that the creed text is different, it has a serial number and wasn't made in the United States. Supposedly, both are the same style and limited editions yet one describes the bag as "glove-tanned cowhide" and the other describes it as "genuine alligator." The creeds are stamped with different fonts and I believe the text on your bag is from an older era.

Yep, I was just doing the same thing as you were.....(I noticed on the other a "made in Italy" tag sewn into the side lining so I guess mine is fake and the other is legit? can I prove this to ebay?

I think the bag you received was fake. If it was a limited edition, there would be a number on the limited edition tag. The most disturbing thing is that I believe the thing that makes this a limited edition is that it was made of genuine alligator and it would say that on the creed. The creed wording and font is an exact copy of a creed Coach used in the 90s. It is possible that an alligator bag would be made in the US (but not likely - even when the alligator came from the US, the bag was usually assembled in another country) but the creed wouldn't look like one from the 90s and would definitely mention alligator. If it was just embossed leather designed to look like alligator, it would have a newer creed with the finest materials wording or no creed at all like most small bags. It would definitely not say "glove-tanned cowhide."
