Would love confirmation on this one -

Item: Coach Mia Embossed Tote in black
Listing number: N/A (Tradesy)
Seller: Jennifer on Tradesy
Link: https://www.tradesy.com/bags/coach-tote-bag-black-2099626/

Thank you!!! :)

It seems ok.
I have a comment on my opinion of Tradesy.

I've found them to be totally unresponsive to reports of fakes and detailed reasons why items are fake as well as referring their support team/mods/admin to TPF's various authentication threads. I emailed them directly (not through a listing) in January and listed about a dozen obvious fakes and never got a response.

Supposedly Tradesy either has authenticators or seems to use ***************** a NOT RECOMMENDED authentication service. There have been multiple reports of fakes being authenticated as genuine, genuine items being removed as fake and sellers suspended from Tradesy when their items are authentic.

In a Tradesy thread on the ebay forum, there have been many posts about the problems with the site, the fact that they know their authentications aren't dependable yet they continue in the same way they've been doing business.

IMO, Tradesy is right up there with iOffer, Listia and other sites that don't care about running a safe site or abiding by the law. I don't recommend Tradesy. JMHO.

Seriously? I reported the following seller's EBAY fakes a couple of days ago and they were removed. Now she's selling them on Tradesy. Evidently, their "authenticator" doesn't know Coach keychains because these aren't even close!

Do you have the item number? Sometimes we can pull up a cache of the listing with the item number and/or the seller's ID.

In the future, please refer to post #1 for the posting format and information we need. Had you posted that information, we could watch the seller.

I should have, I'm sorry. I wasn't thinking, the seller was something like purp-something or purple-something maybe with numbers at the end

Was it PURPLEFROST123 ?

Yes! That's it! She/he had 2 listings maybe 3 and in smaller print it said 'can not guarantee authenticity'
That's interesting.

I found this listing (cache from March 20) but she described it as "authentic." Perhaps after it was removed, she relisted with the authenticity disclaimer you saw.

This was the description:
"Authentic Coach purse. Has a tiny white spot, can see on photo.
Removable strap. Nice compartments. Very nice shape!"

Yep, I reported the one in the photos I posted just yesterday, don't remember if there were others but there may have been one or two more. I don't keep exact records like BB does, but I probably should.

Maybe, you're right; she thought saying she couldn't guarantee authenticity, she thought that would keep her out of trouble ?

There was a seller I pointed out to her, her bag was fake. It had one of the known fake seriel numbers; signature c inside and out plus the 'c's didn't line up on the front of the bag where the stitching was. She sent me a message back saying, 'buyer beware. I'm no fashionista'

"Buyer beware" doesn't excuse a seller from cheating a buyer. Selling a fake, especially knowingly, is still illegal AND immoral, although too many buyers seem to have forgotten what that word means. The best thing to do is post those listings here or in the Hall Of Shame thread and let the reporting system, flawed as it is, do its job.

And as BeenBurned has posted before, contacting a seller directly can cause a LOT of problems, so it's best to avoid it umless you're sure the seller will listen.
