Hello again...please can I have this one looked at too...not sure if you are at all happy with looking at Etsy.
Item- Vintage Coach Willis Green

Seller- INDCLOSETRETRO
Comments- Am trying to look at different avenues of a finding a coach to try rehabbing. I dont have an ebay account and the postage is huge even if I get a bag relatively cheap...some times twice or three times the value of the bag.
Am still paying the same if I get from Etsy...but might be easier to buy. Would like to see what the guys think of this one on the rehab thread...might be too much for a novice. Need to make sure its ok before I ask.
Thank you.

It was at a salvation army I stopped at this morning on my way home from work. I determined it was fake on my own. Thanks to you guys for teaching me how to.
Isn't that an awesome feeling?

Technically I know we're supposed to notify management that the bag they're attempting to sell is counterfeit (and illegal to sell) but my gut instinct is that it would probably result in 1) them putting it right back on the shelf after I leave and 2) me being unwelcome at that particular thrift henceforth. :I

I've found that notifying management in a thrift store is less than useless.

They react in one of several ways:
  • claim to be a thrift and just reselling donations
  • claim not to be selling as authentic (although I've seen fakes with pricetags ranging from $60 to $300!)
  • Ask how you know it's fake, remove the item from the sales floor while you're in the store and promptly put it back after you leave

Most stores don't understand the law regarding the sales of fakes (at best) or they don't GAS (at worst).

Genuine, probably a Small Shoulder Bag style 9530 from the early 1980s. In the future, please try to post a better photo of the creed and serial number, we need to be able to actually see the details of the stamping and the fonts. Thanks!

Thank you very much, Hyacinth! Yes I will do better next time. They arrived this evening and I was anxious to have them authenticated but needed better light and so used my flash. And the poor bag is just smooshed :/ I appreciate your help!
