Some things just seem to slip through my memory like water, especially numbers. I've been driving for 50 years and STILL don't remember my driver's license number.

But I bet you can lay one heck of a riparian buffet, can't you. Served, of course, on the Dalton's with the hand-painted periwinkles. :D Sorry, I couldn't resist. And thank you again. I'm cleaning the bag up, and our sixteen year old is anxious to use it.

And of course,my Candlelight Suppers are the Stuff Of Legend in not just our own postal code but all the very BEST postal codes in our county. Everyone who has ever had the pleasure of attending one never ceases to comment on it to all their friends and acquaintences.

Actually, may I ask one more? I feel guilty because it's for curiosity's sake, but .... I ran the number through ebay, to see what other types of colors this bag came in, purely for curiosity, and this came up in the search due to the style number.
seller is: 31158steel

The style number is 9981 and it claims to be made in 1995, but that's not a Watson.
Fake?

As we've said before, Coach employees make mistakes, especially at the manufacturing level, and I believe this is one of them. It's obviously not a Watson 9981 but I believe it's a genuine Bixby Sling, style 9984. The details all look ok including the creed and serial number details, and imagining an employee stamping or mistaking a 4 for a 1 isn't that much of a stretch.

Wow. Just wow. I did think that so much of the rest of the creed looked "good", and the leather certainly looks nice. The M in the creed even has those little notches they sometimes get just above or just below from the "stamp" itself. ... So that explains it. ... Wow. ... Thank you again.

(Acutally, more than commenting on it, I bet they stagger back in awe just like Richard is always instructed to. ;) Sorry, couldn't resist one more.)

I'm SO glad that someone appreciates the ENORMOUS effort a truly dedicated hostess puts into making such elegant social events so memorable! :giggle:

Item: Silver metallic wristlet
Seller: Local hospital charity thrift shop ($7)
Comments: The leather is soft and feels like a Parker but the double-line of wavy stitching makes me think of the Soho line - but no buckle.

I was surprised by the X on the "made in china" tag, does that mean "made for factory" like a dot often signifies on the tag?

Please share your opinion about authenticity, thank you!

Good evening :

Item: Navy Maggie Bucket
Seller: Goodwill
Comments: I used to carry COACH many many years back but I have never studied the features up closed then. It appear to be genuine but I am not sure ... Mainly the imprint of words on the creed has faded, it is not a YKK zipper BUT I also understand that it does not make it a fake bag. :-)
