Please post authenticity questions related to COACH in this thread. No PMs please.

Please follow the following requests:
  • Before you submit a request for authentication, please search this thread to make sure that the item has not previously been authenticated by searching the seller ID and/or item number. This is not a thread to ask general questions about COACH, please refer to our main Coach forum for such information.
  • Note that authenticators have the right to refuse any requests. This is a free service, but it is imperative that you help our authenticators by using the following format:

BASIC PICTURES REQUIRED (but more may be requested): If necessary pictures are in the listing, it's not necessary to upload and duplicate them.
  • Front of item
  • Back of item
  • Full clear and legible creed text and serial number
  • Made in tags (when available)
  • Measurements
  • For bags with turnlock closures, show pictures of back of female side of turnlock
  • For bags with magnetic snaps, show pictures of the male part of the snap so that the numbers and letters on it can be read
  • If applicable, search interior of bag and/or pockets for small white tag with production information and include a picture of that.

It's fine.

But 9960 (among other backpacks) is a well-faked style so any potential purchases should be looked at.

I want to get something for my mother in law. This seller told me that he bought this from an outlet in US through a friend but the wife didn't like it. Hence, letting go for a cheap price.

That wallet is NOT authentic, it didn't come from the Coach Outlet in *******, CT and I don't even think the receipt is authentic!

The seller isn't being honest.

  • The description of the style on the receipt should match the name of the style on the tag.
  • The receipt has the printing in a font that is incorrect for Coach outlet receipts.
  • Hardware should be silver (SV for the color code on tag) but on the fake, it's gold

And in this case, neither the name on the tag NOR the description/name of the item on the receipt is correct.

Compare to an authentic. (This particular comp appears to have come from either a department store or a Coach boutique as the style number doesn't have "F" in front of it. It's likely that some were sent to outlets, but the wallet from the Carousell seller, cylau_v is not one of them.

Here's another tag from the same style but a different color wallet (so the color code is different) but notice the font and the style name/description as compared to that on the fake:

Wow, that's the worst fake receipt I think I've seen - though I know I don't see as many as the authenticators. Maybe just because I'm in CT and have shopped at ******* so often, it was clearly wrong. But you'd think they'd TRY to get some details right, like the tax rate? And what store is open at 11pm?

I can't find a receipt from ******* but I found the following genuine receipt in my photo library. (I redacted some of the original buyer's information. Notice the differences.
