Yep. Grumpy was "almost gone" and I ordered Sleepy as an alternate. It surprised me when both of them apparently went through, but Coach still has time to decide that Grumpy is actually out of stock. Hope for the best, but expect the worst, right?

This is a good opportunity to test the integrity of the seller, Alberta - @newnew50 - to see if she's honest enough to end the listing when informed that the bag is fake.

But I'm not holding my breath. She has this listing (posted without use of "Hermes," claiming not knowing much about it. But the bag has a fake "Hermes" stamp on the front:

Can someone please help me authenticate this Coach sandal. I got this from a thrift store but unable to find any info online. I would also like to know the style and the year. Thank you in advance

I think that it is the Buckle Bag 4157 that was released in 1996 for $194. The bag looks good to me and the seller has a good rating. She was quickly responsive when I asked for pictures of the creed and that was reassuring, but now I've remembered that this bag was often faked in the past and so I would greatly appreciate your expert opinion. It hasn't shipped yet and I paid with a credit card so I can probably still cancel the transaction if there is a problem.

They're authentic and I'd guess from the 90s. (That's a total guess though.) They haven't used that label in ages.

Thank you, that's a relief! It might be a bit faded but I am hoping that the color will perk up with the rehab. I see many shades of green on this bag posted on the internet.

After checking out others of Micki - @mburciag's listings, I would avoid her.

A seller with so many Coach listings needs to know her items are authentic and clearly, she doesn't verify authenticity.

I was considering buying one of her bags (not one you listed) and someone authenticated it earlier...but, it makes me nervous if a seller just turns a blind eye to fakes. ☹️

And interestingly, the seller also sold this genuine Willis in this listing from which the picture of the OTHER dowel end is shown in the questionable listing! That one has leather.

The only *7X- creeds I have in my files are 2 Ergo Satin Hobos 6101 with "glove-tanned cowhide" USA creeds but which seem genuine. Both of those creed and serial stamps have differences compared to the one in your post, especially the Coach logos and the roundness of the letters in the creed, unless the lighting is playing tricks on me. But the "No"s in the serials are definitely different.

and here's a definite Fake from my files with a 1998 X plant code but what looks like a similar creed and the same "No" in the serial as the one you're questioning, it also has a too-short inside zipper and indents in the back of the turnlock:
