IMPORTANT READ-ME

Please post authenticity questions related to COACH in this thread. No PMs please.
For further information, please refer to the first post on page 1 of this thread.

Please follow the following requests:
  • Before you submit a request for authentication, please search this thread to make sure that the item has not previously been authenticated by searching the seller ID and/or item number. This is not a thread to ask general questions about COACH, please refer to our main Coach forum for such information.
  • Note that authenticators have the right to refuse any requests. This is a free service, but it is imperative that you help our authenticators by using the following format:
  • FOR ITEMS LISTED ONLINE:
    Item:
    Listing number:
    Seller and site where listed
    Link:
    Comments:

  • FOR ITEMS NOT LISTED ONLINE:
    Item:
    Where purchased or how obtained
    Comments:
BASIC PICTURES REQUIRED (but more may be requested): If necessary pictures are in the listing, it's not necessary to upload and duplicate them.
  • Front of item
  • Back of item
  • Full clear and legible creed text and serial number
  • Made in tags (when available)
  • Measurements
  • For bags with turnlock closures, show pictures of back of female side of turnlock
  • For bags with magnetic snaps, show pictures of the male part of the snap so that the numbers and letters on it can be read
  • If applicable, search interior of bag and/or pockets for small white tag with production information and include a picture of that.
Thank you and be safe!

Sorry, it's fake. If you bought it in one of their stores, take it back and get a full refund. TWO of the serial number codes are invalid, and the turnlock has a detail only seen in FAKE Coach handbags, never real ones.

Because of the increasing number of fakes coming out of both Goodwill's Brick&Mortar stores and their websites, I personally am urging using extreme caution when buying any highly faked brands from them, especially Coach. Their attitude at some of their selling locations and some of their websites depending on which store actually is selling the bag is to close their eyes toward fakes and to solid evidence when it proves a Coach item is counterfeit. Always have "Coaches" being sold through Goodwill authenticated here first whenever possible.

  • If the bag in question is not on an auction site, please use the following:

Item Name (if you know it):
    Link (if available):
Then attach any photos (all authentication must include photos.)
    • Please be sure to include a clear readable photo of the creed stamp and serial number from inside the bag or accessory if there is one, and the bag's measurements when the bag is an older or vintage leather Coach.
    • Since mid-2014, Coach stopped putting serial numbers on creeds so in newer bags where the creeds don't have serial numbers, we also need to see pictures of the labels/tags from inside the bag. They are either both in the main open part sewn into the seam of the lining, or one might be buried deep inside the zipper pocket. One shows where made and the other has a serial number.
  • Authenticators are not required to answer every request and it is their right to ignore a request that is not in the proper format.

This bag is on shopgoodwill.com. I expressed my concerns about it. They say it was authenticated by ****************** so they are selling it . I think they they goofed. Please advise. https://www.shopgoodwill.com/Item/72053499

GOOD GRIEF.
As further proof of what I just said in post 39182 - use extreme caution when buying Coach bags from goodwill, I don't care WHO they claim authenticated them. Their authenticators, at least 2 different ones, have shown themselves to be grossly incompetant at authenticating Coaches and this is a prime example.

Where do I start?
The fabric pattern is totally fake and never used by Coach, the metal hangtag is fake, THAT SHINY MINI C PATTERN LINING HAS BEEN KNOWN TO BE ALWAYS FAKE WHETHER IT'S BLACK, BROWN OR GOLD, AND NO "COACH" BAG THAT'S ALL OR MOSTLY Cs ON THE OUTSIDE SHOULD EVER HAVE A C PATTERN LINING. (These have been known and validated "rules for the last 15 or 20 years). The stitching around the creed patch looks like a bloody MESS, several of the words in the creed run together (acoach, itwas, completelynatural, thegrainare, fullgrainleather) THE CREED PATCH SAYS THE BAG IS MADE OF COWHIDE, AND THERE'S NO SERIAL NUMBER ON THE CREED PATCH.

There is absolutely NOTHING right about that bag, and whatever company "authenticated" it for "Goodwill Keystone Area" is displaying incompetance on a MASSIVE scale.

The authenticating company's name is blocked by tPF's software but it's in the listing and I'll include a hint - it includes the "Auth******** " word in the form of a verb and the word "First" after it.

Here's a photo or two just to prove my points

ETA - and to add insult to injury, the last line says GW is willing to CHARGE THE BUYER $3.00 for a copy of a useless certificate that "proves" this POS is a genuine Coach. Such a deal !!!

I don't mean to poke the bear but I just love it when @Hyacinth goes on a (fully justified of course) tear-the-seller-a-new-a$$hole rant!

OMG!! I wish these companies would be honest enough to just say, "sorry, I can't help with X-brand because it's not my area of expertise. But between Entrupy and the company that Hyacinth referred to, Goodwill has listed a lot of "authentic" fakes!
Great! Thank you so much!
If you paid with a credit card and they won't give you a FULL refund of every penny you spent, file a c.c. dispute.

And refer Goodwill here if they have any questions.

i think we all enjoy it! Thank you @Hyacinth for the laughs!

It annoys me that the money Goodwill pays to these worthless authentication services is added to the prices of the items they sell.
