That said! I found one on Goodwill I was curious about. I have such a fondness for these leather Carly bags; I saw a woman in HomeGoods carrying my favorite colorway for this item and nearly stopped her right there to compliment her bag.

At any rate, can an authenticator let me know if they believe this item is authentic? Thank you so much in advance.

Item: Coach Carly (medium perhaps?)
Listing: https://www.shopgoodwill.com/Item/71468851
Seller: Shopgoodwill.com

Penny was never part of the name. Pocket purses made before 1994 wouldn't have the style number, 9755, in the number, as numbers before that were just random. The bag in the listing is authentic.

If you haven't already read the Salearea Guides especially the ones about creeds and serial numbers, please do, and as soon as possible. Or maybe take a closer look at the bag's serial number, maybe you misread it the first time.

Serial numbers from before 1994 don't include the style number.

I don't see any reason to think it's not a genuine Pocket Purse. There was no style called a Penny Pocket Purse.

It's an authentic 9755 Pocket Purse. The bag was made before 1994, when style numbers began to be used in the serial numbers.

ETA: Echo chamber.

(The bag appears to have shoe polish or some other product on it. The finish doesn't look natural.)

Hi All! Is this a real Italian Coach? I am sorta doubtful but need backup. Not on a website but in my home. View attachment 4486344 View attachment 4486345 View attachment 4486347 View attachment 4486348 View attachment 4486349 View attachment 4486350

Yes, it's a genuine Sheridan Charleston Bag, style 4217 from the early 1990s.

If you haven't already read the Salearea Coach Guides thread Pinned to the top of this forum's index page, it would be a very good idea to do it now. There are 6 Guides and one of them is about Coach's Italian-made bags. The Guides start at Post 14.
