BASIC PICTURES REQUIRED (but more may be requested): If necessary pictures are in the listing, it's not necessary to upload and duplicate them.

• For bags with turnlock closures, show pictures of back of female side of turnlock

i am new here. I apologize in advance for any mistakes in my post. Perhaps someone could tell me a bit about this bag.I am hoping to buy it for a family member who loves these, but i personally have no experience with purses.
The small white style tag says:
No. J1580 F36704 . Is it authentic? (the seller seems reputable - says bought from our local coach outlet). The color throws me so I was wondering if the J1580 could tell me anything about the bag etc. so i can see online what the color is supposed to look like.

Since the bag was made 4 years ago you won't find any current information on that style, at least not from Coach and probably not from any other source unless you happen to come across one on Ebay or another selling site. There's no way to look up available colors for bags currently not in Coach's inventory but it looks to me like a common Coach color. I don't see any problems with the bag, the tag or the color.

For future requests, please refer to post 1, page 1 for the posting format and info we need. Since you refer to "the seller," I assume that the bag is being sold online so there should be a link to the listing.

As for the bag in question, the "serial number" whether on the creed or on the white tag doesn't vary depending on the color of the bag. (There's no color coding associated with the serial number.)

Just a bit of additional information: On some of the newer and better faked bags, we've been seeing inaccurate color coding on the fake tags being included with the fake bags. The UPC bar code, color code, style number, style name, etc. may not match what it's supposed to say but even then, the creeds and labels give NO indication of color.

As BeenBurned has just posted, if the bag is listed somewhere online for sale, we need the links to the selling site.

There's one YouTube video showing that bag in that color but the color name isn't clear, try listening to the description, "grayish with a hint of green" is how it's described. Coach's style number is 36704. I'm going to break up the Youtube URL so it doesn't come through as Autoplay:

Coach color names often don't tell you much about the actual colors. Buying a bag for someone when you don't know their color preference is a bit tricky (if you don't know their prefences about bags in general the whole process is tricky, my husband learned a long time ago that a gift certificate is a much safer gift than buying a bag that I might or might not like). At least the bag you're looking at is a neutral color that will go with almost any color in someone's wardrobe.

If it was bought recently and the listing is still available, please post the URL of the listing. And what are the measurements when the wallet is closed? Post number One of this threade lists the information we need for authentication.

Coach's older catalogs often don't show the insides of the wallets so it may be hard or impossible to identify it.

It seems genuine, but there just aren't any decent photos of it if it's as old as I think it is. The only catalog pic that might be it doesn't even seem to show it completely open, so it's just a guess that it's a style 4635 Wallet Purse from the 1980s, it looks very similar to your 3rd photo. Here's a 1986 page:

The listing is awful! There are just 7 pictures, 3 of which are stolen Coach stock images.

See post 1 on page 1 of this thread for the pictures we need and request them from 750ducatimonster.

There's no way I'd consider placing a starting bid of $450 with those pictures.

I've been screwed by a different GW and just don't want to take any chances without the expert authentications y'all so generously offer. This bag worries me by the leather the creed is stamped into. It just looks cheap to me. I'm not at familiar with this color, and maybe that's what's throwing me off or maybe it's just the wonderful high quality photos GW's post! Lol

Sidenote: any opinions on Authenticity First? (at least I think that's the name of the service some of their locations are using now) I already know not to trust Entrupy. Thanks so much!
