Although both are "Nolita," they aren't the same style number.

Your bag is style 25017.
The bag you're comparing it to is 36392.

When making comparisons, you have to compare apples to apples; identical bag to the identical style.
Hi there I have another question,
Is this normal for all coach bags?
Please see photo of overlapping material Below

Hi all. I saw a bag in a thrift shop with a weird G plant code creed and wanted expert opinions on it.

It appears to be an Ashville bag (9089).

The Creed looks similar to some Hyacinth posted a while ago https://forum.purseblog.com/threads/authenticate-this-coach.818914/page-656#post-26059339 but has one glaring aberration ...code is 7EG

Is this 7EG perhaps a big Whoops or is this bag probably a big Fake?

I think this is a legitimate mistake. Both yours and the one on Posh are authentic.
Thanks for posting. I'll be adding this to my files.

I agree, unusual but genuine.

Another thing that makes both of them so unusual is that both are still using the old "scars, scratches..." creed stamp with "Made In ..." separated and at the bottom. That's probably the most recent genuine example of that old creed stamp still being in use that I've seen so far, Coach started changing over to the new version beginning in 1994. That seems to indicate that with handbags at least the G plant code stamp with those creed and serial number details including the oversize G was a "floater" and only used by temporary plants or production facilities. The temporary plants and non-US plants like Costa Rica usually got stuck with Coach's leftovers, including outdated or retired stamps.

I am trying to authenticate and identify this bag. (My apologies if I am not). I found this coach briefcase while thrifting at my local goodwill. The bag's serial number No.0514-347 the ' made in the United States' in the creed suggests that it was manufactured between '89 and 1994. I thought that it was the Prescott bag but I am not sure. The bag measurements are Height 11" Width 16" and depth 3.5". Please review the pictures and let me know the name of the bag, the year made (approx) and if it is authentic. Pictures are below. Thank you.

It looks authentic. I think it is the Prescott brief #5275, made in the early 90s.
