Ok here are some more pics. IMO there mini tag isn't raised at all but I can be wrong. I took some close ups. It doesn't stick out from the surface as I see it. View attachment 4439473View attachment 4439474

That looks much better! It must have just been the angle.

Yep, the lighting really makes it look like one of those fake hangtags, but the font is exactly the same as mine, and if the surface is actually flat it should be OK.

CANCEL RED ALERT!

The next Year Of The Dragon is 2024, so they should go for a pretty good price if we wait to sell them until mid to late 2023.

WHATEVE, the stamped Coach logo on the back of the dragon is the same on mine - very faint, and straight across from the back to the front of the dragon's head.

Item: Vintage Coach 9870 Brown Leather Crossbody (Winnie!)
Listing number: 68733196
Seller: Goodwill of Central & Southern Indiana
Link: https://www.shopgoodwill.com/Item/68733196
Comments: I'm skeptical of the serial number. Was T ever used for a US plant?
The bag is fake. T isn't a valid plant and 9870 when on a genuine Coach is a Court bag.

ETA: I dislike Goodwill because in order to contact them, you must have an account with way more personal information than I care to provide to a site from which I have no intention purchasing.

But according to the listing, "Goodwill of Central & Southern Indiana states that this item has been posted in accordance with shopgoodwill.com's policy prohibiting the sale of counterfeit items. If you have any questions or concerns about the authenticity of this item please contact seller directly prior to bidding" so if anyone has an account, let them know they're violating their own policy (AND THE LAW)!

I figured it was fake but wanted to double check. I'll contact them!

Hi all, thanks in advance:

Item: vintage coach 5410 hard side briefcase in black

I believe it's authentic. It's not quite vintage yet, made in 2000. (This is a case where they transposed the month and year codes in the serial prefix.)

ETA:
PLEASE WAIT FOR OTHER OPINIONS.

I just noticed another difference that may or may not be a cause for concern.

I compared the creeds in 2 different X plant, made in 2000 bag and while both seem to have the same mistake of a missing "e" in weather, the "COACH" logo at the top of the creed is lower on one bag than on the other.

I think it is authentic.

Genuine, but I hope you noticed the extra and very sloppy hole a previous owner might have punched in the strap. There is a photo of it in the listing, but it's not mentioned in the verbal description.

And the seller has been mentioned here many many times, and too many times involving counterfeit Coaches. I can't recommend that seller, their latest fake was reported here just in the last week.

Here are the most recent comments, this is why the first post of this thread tells posters to Search these forums for previous mentions of the listing number and the seller.

It seems ok, that X plant code in 2000 apparently was another "floater".

Thank you! I will definitely not buy from them. I'm sorry, thank you for responding. I have read the forums but I forgot about searching the seller.
ETA: I'm new to collecting vintage Coach and I admit to getting over excited at seeing this bag and not following the proper protocol. I will not waste your time again.
