Hello again! I'm just thrifting again and I found this beautiful bag.
I want to get it, but I'm not too sure if it's a fake or not. The store tends to be a bit shady when it comes to returns, so I just dont want to screw myself over.

It looks good.
Although this isn't an issue in this case, @BrooklynBunny, it could be helpful in the future.

Whenever I shop at thrifts and especially if I'm buying an item where authenticity or condition might be an issue, I use a credit card to pay.

That way, if the store isn't agreeable to an exchange (at least), there's the option of filing a dispute since the sale of fakes is illegal anywhere, including charitable thrifts.

Some of the thrifts I go to don't accept credit cards, probably for this reason.

Comments: Has anyone seen this before with the one upside down.

Too good not to share: Vintage Coach Rambler cross bo... https://item.mercari.com/gl/m65435601460/

It's fake. Wrong serial font for 1996 D plant.

Thanks so much BB [emoji4]
Now comes the test of jewel wood's integrity. I don't believe Mercari removes fakes but if the seller is honest, she might do the right thing.

You're a saint. I was just thinking about reselling it on Ebay since all of the sales are final. But even if the Wallet is fake, at least it's cute lmao.

This poor bag looks kind of beat to hell. I've asked the seller some questions about the turn lock, the strap (seems to be in the bag but not sure if it is intact), and if there is a serial number under the creed. Is this a Plaza or something else? Thank you.

There's no serial number or if there is one it's unreadable, and that's not the kind of top handle a Plaza Bag has. It's also a Bean Bag creed and a good percentage of those are fakes. The only thing that's actually accurate is the creed and it's scary how close that one is to the real one. Makes me wonder if that original Coach creed stamp ended up in some counterfeiting plant.

The strap wasn't made by Coach either and the zipper pull on the inside pocket is wrong. I really hope you didn't buy that POS.

I did not buy. I am learning, lol.

I have a question about the bean bag creed was it on like bean bag chairs or purses? I saw one in a bag at a Goodwill and left it because it didn't make sense to me.

I’m interested in this Coach Station but have never seen one with nickel hardware. Is this authentic?

There wouldn't be any problem with silver hardware on a bag made in 2005. What worries me is the wording on the creed patch, but so far I can't find another all-leather bag made in the same plant, month and year for comparison. The stamping also looks a bit "off". I wouldn't recommend buying it but I can't prove if it's fake or genuine.
