Please follow the following requests:

• Before you submit a request for authentication, please search this thread to make sure that the item has not previously been authenticated by searching the seller ID and/or item number. • Note that authenticators have the right to refuse any requests. This is a free service, but it is imperative that you help our authenticators by using the following format:

BASIC PICTURES REQUIRED (but more may be requested): If necessary pictures are in the listing, it's not necessary to upload and duplicate them.

• Front of item
• Back of item
• Full clear and legible creed text and serial number
• Made in tags (when available)
• Measurements
• For bags with turnlock closures, show pictures of back of female side of turnlock
• For bags with magnetic snaps, show pictures of the male part of the snap so that the numbers and letters on it can be read
• If applicable, search interior of bag and/or pockets for small white tag with production information and include a picture of that.

If a second opinion makes you more comfortable, I'll say that I agree it's authentic.

I don't see any obvious problems, but can't find a photo of another one either. Since it's an outlet item from 8 years ago, that's not surprising, outlet items didn't make it into many online records. There's nothing that would make me think it isn't genuine.

There's one on Ebay, several in Japan, and another Completed one on Poshmark. It seems genuine but it's an outlet item and usually information on those doesn't make it onto the internet too often.

I need help with authenticating a vintage Coach. It’s a Murphy that’s stamped “Made in Italy”. It appears to have been refurbished poorly (note the leather stain smeared on the turnlock). I’m on the fence because the Made in Italy stamp and the serial number. Everything else seems correct. Thanks!

I don't see any problem with the stamp or the number. The bag was made in 1993 before Coach changed the format of their numbers. It's genuine.

Please also remember to follow the instructions in post number One and, if it was a recent purchase, to provide the requested information about where you bought the item including links if it was an internet purchase. We also need that information if you're considering buying it.
