I hope @whateve and @Hyacinth might be able to confirm one way or the other.

In some chunky cases, the "floor" of the interior shows the stripes going from end to end rather than across as yours is. But others show the same direction as yours. I'm not sure which is "correct."

In my own chunky cases, where the lining goes as yours does, the cases have creeds, something your case doesn't have.

I don't know if there is a correct way. I had one with a creed and the lining stripes went all the same direction. I have one without a creed and on the bottom the stripes are perpendicular to the stripes on the front and back. The logo is in a similar place as on colorguardjames' case. The zipper pull is odd on colorguardjames' case. None of mine had that kind of pull. The bottom and shape on colorguardjames' case look right. The lining looks more porous and seems a different texture and weave than mine.

I'm on the fence. On the one hand, counterfeiters hardly ever get the shape, with the bent in corners, correct. On the other hand, the fabric and zipper pull give me pause.

Just found this catalog page for reference, as well

Colorguardjames' photo is an example of why that style is so bloody hard to authentricate. That catalog drawing with what I want to call the magnifying-glass zipper pull is from the early 1980s. The same style 7165 was modified in the mid-1980s according to the 1986 catalog with the larger open loop pull, apparently changed from the magnifyng-glass style between 1985 and 1986. That style including the striped ticking lining continued to be made throughout the late 1980s thru the mid 1990s, and we have NO way to figure out what changes may have been made along the way, or when. We don't really know when creed patches were added, or if the direction of the lining inside the base changed direction or when that might have happened. Comparing those details or even the placement of the Coach stamp is always going to be frustrating because there are almost no valid templates or records with valid dates or photos, and the few available catalog photos aren't much help.

Unless there are details that are blatantly non-Coach like the wrong woven pattern used in the lining or a fake Coach stamp or fake creed and serial number, those damned things are almost authentication-proof. There are too many changes that could have been made during all those years of production for which we have no datable records of the details. Sometimes we just DON'T have enough information to say Real or Fake.

Both are fake. On the Patricia, the inside pocket doesn't go all the way across. That is a dead giveaway.
On the Bleecker, the round things under the straps are too round. They are supposed to be flat on the bottom.

Hi, could I please get an authentication on the two bags in this lot listing? The serial number on the black bag looks like 9153 which is for the City Willis. However, the bag strongly resembles a 9163 Legacy Compartment Tote. Could this be a stamping mistake? Thanks!

It really does look like a 5. It could just be the angle of the picture. Wait until you get it to see if it actually a 6. I think both bags are authentic regardless.

Hi! I would love if you could help me or with this bag, its thrifted. As far as I know it’s a vintange Willis bag. (Sorry if this is not the right place to ask)
