Hi! Could you please authenticate this bag? I don't know the name of this style, and the creed is different compared to newer styles (has those J code) so I don't know if this is genuine or not. I tried to google it and found the same bag with different color on poshmark, but the stamp creed on poshmark is deeper than on this bag. Thanks in advance!

It's a rare style that was sometimes faked. You're very lucky, yours is one of the genuine ones. Congratulations!

In return, can you do me a tiny favor? Could you please measure the shoulder strap length if you have a long tape measure? Please set the strap for the longest possible length and measure it end to end at the point the strap is attached to the bag. Thanks! I've wanted one of these for ages but I really need a crossbody length and I've never found a good dependable strap measurement. I just wish this one wasn't black or I'd be knocking at your door tomorrow.

Thank you so very much Hyacinth. I just found some posts about this bag, and I guess it is indeed very rare. The colors shown on a catalog picture were black, acorn and mahogany. I would also have loved one of the other two, but hey.... I will take it, LOL
It needs some TLC for sure, so I will be heading to the Rehab forum.

And of course as you requested, I measured the way you specify and it is 45.5 inches, it is a very heavy bag and with content definitely heavy. The buckle could be used as a weapon if necessary to defend yourself....

Hello!

Could someone please authenticate? Thank you.

Item Name: Coach purse new with tags

Comments: Ran across this listing on E-Bay, looks like a fake to me, but I'm still learning!

I am not one of the authenticators, but even I can tell you it is fake. Coach never made a bag like that, the fake creed numbers, plus the printed "C" liner is a give away of being a bad fake, it is used in all the fake bags. Sorry...

Thanks very much, it sounds like even the strap is the same as the Taft Bag, so that might work. The Taft is heavy too, especially once I load it up with all my stuff. I'm still going to keep my eyes open for a Cody at a reasonable price, as long as it's not black.

One more question and then I'll leave you alone - it looks like the Cody has an outside slip pocket on the back? Or is that just a trick of the light? The Taft doesn't have an outside back pocket or even a horizontal seam where the top of a pocket would be. And I LIKE outside back pockets.
ETA - WHOOPS, never nimd, I just read the catalog description. WOOT !!!!! Too bad they didn't give the Taft that same pocket!

PLEASE READ POST NUMBER ONE IN THIS THREAD AND POST THE INFORMATION WE NEED , such as the listing information, listing link and the seller ID. If you own the bag and bought it within the last few months we still need that information. Thank you.

I love the tattersall Bleecker bags and I have lusted for a Woven Pocket Hobo 12378 from 2008 for a long time, but they are always listed for more than I want to spend - and I already have too many bags anyway!

This pocket hobo had been poorly listed on Mercari for a long time and I had "liked" it in the past, but I didn't buy because there weren't enough pictures (not even a picture of the creed) and it was more than I cared to spend at $50 + $8 S&H, especially on a rather "loose" site like Mercari.

I received an email notice last night stating that the price of the bag had dropped to $26 + $8 S&H and I decided to buy it before someone else grabbed it - because a total of 14 people had "liked" it.

The pictures are poor and few but I think that this would be a hard bag to fake because it is so detailed, and from what I can see, it looks right and it doesn't appear to be too badly abused. I also thought that the other coach items that this vendor has for sale looked okay (at least to me!)

I will not ask you to authenticate the bag with such scanty information, but I'd really appreciate it if you could just take a look and tell me if you can see any red flags that I've missed? Thanks so much!

Comments: You need to use Google Chrome, Firefox, or Safari to see photos on Mercari.

I found this stock photo of the Woven Pocket Hobo on-line just for reference. Do you happen to know if the brown color of this bag was called "whiskey" or "mahagony"?

Dear Authenticators, I have received my Mahagony Bleecker Woven Pocket Hobo 12378 B4 MA (2008, MSRP = $458) and I am so glad that I took a chance and snagged this bag for only $26. The bag was poorly listed and so I really appreciated receiving your qualified opinions - based on the poor pictures in the listing!

The bag is lovely, it is intact and there aren't any serious stains or other damage. It's a little grubby and the corners are worn but I think that it will rehab well and I look forward to carrying it. Here are some better pictures for your consideration!

Hi authenticators. Could you please authenticate this Court bag I have had for years? Got it from Goodwill. It seems just like the others I have but the creed stamp is faded. As I never use it I want to be sure it's authentic before I sell it.

Finally got around to getting some eyeshadow on the creed and here's the 15480134622774940041426586333.jpg back of the turnlock. 15480135520684824499328431159153.jpg

Beautiful! It makes me want to pull out mine. It looks exactly the same color as mine. What are you going to do for rehab? I just conditioned mine.
