I assume you told chrislchoi why you were canceling and requesting a refund, right?

If that's the case, knowing it's fake, giving you a hard time when requesting a refund and then RELISTING the same bag, she deserves appropriate feedback, IMO.

Even if she didn't know it was fake when first listed, now she knows! And that's dishonest!

Here's the relisted bag that chrislchoi has posted.

ETA: The seller also has a fake Dooney! (@Catbird9 )

I noticed that too, there's a red one at Ebay's Fashion Board. So that's 3 just in the last week. Some of the serial number fonts are very close so authenticating every one is really important.

The Ebay Fashion Board post has several good comparison pics of both the VERY close serial number fonts between the fake and several real ones, and also a close-up of the problematic indentations on the back of the fake's turnlock plate:

What a coinkydink! I posted that red fake here last night. And shortly after the listing was removed, the seller posted 2 more (different) fakes, one of which sold. :(

This post is the red one and 2 posts down are the newer fakes from the same seller, susanlime:

Wouldn’t a Berkeley be a reverse suede, style 9014? I’m aware sellers often misidentify misidentify bags, but searching eBay for Berkeley Crescent, I found the two fakes and also a reverse suede tan with the wrong style number in the Creed. Yikes.

Have you posted all of them here or at the Coach Hall of Shame so we can report them? Nothing is going to get removed unless it's reported.

seller - labaker50

and

Black "Saddle Bag" claiming to be a "pre-1994 vintage Coach" with an S8B- serial prefix and incorrect serial font.

And yes, Berkeleys use suede and textured leather. The listings are examples of not only fake bags but of keyword spamming to get more hits when someone searches for a style name.

Well, maricastan-2 's ebay career might be short-lived.

The fake black "saddle bag" was removed but she has these 2 additional fakes.

Thank you for the info - I *did* just buy today. Was willing to give rehab a shot even if a fake but I did just request the seller refund my money. I hate asking anyone for help so posting on here pushed my out of my comfort zone but I’m glad I did. Thanks so much! I’m so, incredibly appreciative. Will ask again before buying. I’ve tried to search for good reference guides - are there any or should we just rely on your trusty guidance? Thanks again!
While you may not want to ask for help here, I will tell you, as a vintage Coach enthusiast, the ladies here are the only thing we have against sellers who are lazy, dishonest, ignorant and any combination of these three. I gladly and humbly accept their services. You will see that they enjoy (with a few exceptions ) sharing their enthusiasm for Coach!
Also, as a fellow enthusiast, I encourage you to read and familiarize yourself on the Salearea guides pinned at the top of the subforum page here, as well as to read back pages of this thread. . As time goes by, you will be able to spot some fake characteristics and bypass certain bags on that alone. Or post them here with your idea of why you think they are fake and get it confirmed.
