Mystery drawstring. I’d appreciate the style name, if you have it. The Creed stamp is very light and is stamped “irregular “.
Measurements 11” tall , 12” wide, 5.5” deep, strap drop adjustable to 22”.
Authentic. It's probably drawstring sac medium #4015 from the Lightweights collection.

Just to add - the only place I've been able to find that style is on an old list of style numbers which unfortunately don't include any style names, and in one or 2 listings from a few years ago on a Japanese selling site where the seller just calls it a Boston Bag. While Coach DID make one style of handbag with that official name, this isn't it. "Boston Bag" has become a generic or catch-all name for a top handle bag. If you search Ebay for that name you'll get dozens of different styles. It's like "doctor bag".
Thank you for your information. It does look similar to bags in the Varick line. I just want to make sure before I try to sell it, that this is in fact authentic (in your opinion). Thank you so much for taking the time to respond.

Hello all! Thank you for all the great information. I am so happy to be a new member at TPF!!

Comments: Is this creed correct H13-9870?
Thank you in advance for your reply!
The bag is okay but the pictures could use improvement. Generally, we need full legible creed pictures rather than portions in separate pics.

It does look like the prefix is H13 and would be correct for a Chinese factory. The bag was made in 2001.

Thank you BeenBurned!! I was worried since I thought the prefix was in the format letter/number/letter

It's definitely authentic, or I wouldn't have spent so much time trying to find it! The only time we invest in fakes here at tPF is taking the time to report them.

Bought this bag because I liked the size/style and it fit what I was willing to spend - found this page after researching how to rehab it (oh boy, did I start down a road of fun...) but now wondering if it’s real or not. (Again, no big deal if not since I like it and will enjoy it (and the process of trying to restore it) but though it would be fun to ask.). Thanks so much in advance!

The serial number font isn't right, the too-wide spacing of some of the creed words is wrong, there's a problem with the size and shape of the strap buckles - DON'T invest any more time in it unless you just want to practice on a bag that is as fake as a 3-dollar bill. Sorry. Since you already started to rehab it, it can't be returned to the seller but I believe you can still file SNAD claim for counterfeit merchandise with Ebay.

ETA - there's also a problem with the back of the turnlock.

Here's a genuine style 9988 and a genuine creed and serial number with an M7C- prefix, note the spacing problem mentioned earlier:

Keep in mind that a fake won't rehab like a Coach. The leather just won't respond like it should. If you decide to keep it, destroy the creed so it won't ever be sold as a Coach. If it were me, I would contact the seller. I don't think anyone should get your money for a fake.

ETA: Did you just buy it today? Ask the seller to cancel the sale and refund your money.
