Have you gotten it yet? I don't see any problems but I can't say it is definitely authentic without the numbers. I would compare the inside bottom to these: https://www.ebay.com/itm/COACH-Ergo...h=item3b1c75bb18:g:YEMAAOSwh1paDwgO:rk:3:pf:0
https://www.ebay.com/itm/COACH-Ergo...h=item1cad2eeebb:g:d6UAAOSwb39bEEbm:rk:2:pf:0
Also look for those half-circle pieces that cover the inside corners.

ETA: I do feel good about the No.
Can you post a clear photo of the stamping on the "male" part of the magnetic snap when you get it?

And try to bring out what's left of the serial number with pale eyeshadow, or some other light pearlized powder. The number may already be worn down too far but it's worth a try.

The bag came today and it feels like pure Coach, but I just want to be sure. Here are some more pictures showing the inside bottom (it does have the little cover pieces in the corners) and the magnetic snap. I'll try the powder trick tomorrow but I'm not too hopeful...the bag is drying right now and the creed has faded even more due to the bath (I was afraid that might happen, but couldn't wait to start rehab!) Thanks for taking a look.

Thanks, the magnetic snap is all I need to see. it's genuine.

So far every fake 0974-534 creed seems to have exactly the same mistakes in spacing, spelling and punctuation. Here's the only clearly-stamped example in my files, they're obviously all from the same source. Nine mistakes, not counting the huge gaps between some words that could easily have been filled.

I have the dubious honor of owning an example. Lucky me. :graucho:
I also have a clear picture of a creed with the same fake serial number:

Item: Coach Madison Pleated Leather Caroline Satchel Bag, Item #19848, Aubergine

Listing number: 253632886438

Seller: 4everrobins - The seller is me

Link: https://www.ebay.com/itm/253632886438

Comments: Hi Ladies. It's been a while since I've been here but I hope someone can help me with this. I'm the seller. The buyer - fashionutty-99 - initially said she loved the bag but did say she thought the size and weight might be an issue. The next day she requested a return through Ebay because she changed her mind (too heavy). In the return request she stated - "seller is not at fault". Per Ebay rules, it was within my right to decline the return, which I did. She gave me negative feedback because I wouldn't accept the return. She has now submitted a claim through Paypal. She added that she is questioning the authenticity of the bag in her Paypal claim. Since the bag is genuine, I would like to send her the link to the post where someone here authenticates it. I realize this is only an opinion but I'm hoping that it will help me in some way. TIA!

You should call paypal and point them to the ebay case. Since she didn't bring up authenticity in the ebay claim, in fact stating that she was returning it due to the weight, Paypal should be able to see that she is only using the authenticity ruse to force a return. I don't know the ins and outs of Paypal claims, but they might make her prove the authenticity claim. Paypal won't consider tpf an expert opinion. If paypal doesn't close the case once they see what happened with her ebay return request, then, in my opinion, you should get a professional paid opinion of authenticity and present that to paypal. You should ask Paypal which authenticators' opinions they will accept.

ETA: I would also call ebay and tell them what she is trying to do through paypal. Also ask them if you can get that negative feedback removed.

She quoted the Ebay 30 day money back guarantee and said she was just going to send the bag back to me. I politely advised her to call Ebay first before shipping. She opened a Paypal claim within the hour so I I suspect what happened is someone at Ebay told her a Paypal claim was an option. I called both but they weren't very helpful. Paypal said to submit my evidence and they would review it. I'll give it another shot though. Thanks for responding!

Wow! As a seller herself, fashionutty-99 should be absolutely ashamed of herself.

1. She's totally WRONG about ebay's rules. ebay's money back guarantee doesn't mean that she can return a "buyer remorse" item that was accurately described and pictured.
2. There is no question that the bag is authentic (and beautiful)!
3. If fashionutty-99 would like to post any concerns regarding authenticity, she's welcome to post here.
4. For her to leave negative feedback for you (and another seller!) for not accepting returns is wrong.
5. if it's any consolation, I suspect that even if you had accepted the return, she would have negged you after learning that it would cost her $40 to return it plus she would have lost her initial shipping payment! (A bag that size going from Arizona (where she is) to Oregon would be heavy and in an oversized box.)
6. Her own listings show a return policy so SHE is required to take returns for ANY reason, but that's a policy SHE chose. But again, sellers with accurate listings are NOT required to take a return because she changed her mind.

For the record, after looking at this, I've added fashionutty-99 to my BBL.

I don't understand why someone who is a seller herself wouldn't resell that bag herself.

BTW, I'm guessing that although she quoted ebay's money back guarantee, she knew she wasn't covered by it and thus went through Paypal.

Paypal is known to be apt to require BUYERS who claim fake to obtain documentation to prove their allegations. So she should be prepared to spend money on a pro and no knowledgeable Coach expert will find the bag as fake.
