Please help authenticate and identify this Embassy Briefcase? I purchased at a Goodwill store.

Name: Embassy Briefcase? Made in United States creed 0661-905. No shoulder strap or hardware, plain on the sides.

The last pic I tried adding doesn’t seem to show. This is side of bag.
It's fine.

Comment: incomplete creed photo, but Leatherware cartouche, "scars, scratches" wording and zipper pulls are wrong I think.

Yep, real Coaches never used those metal zipper pull rings with the extra small ring at the top until some time around 2009 when they started making something similar for the Poppy and maybe Op Art lines.

Here are thumbnails of this fake pull from MACO637 plus a few more found in older classic and vintage styles:

Just bought him! Let me know if you need anything else to authenticate him. Thank you  I had a hard time taking a picture of the creed but that's the entire # (L5C-9977).

It's the same as this one, I believe https://www.ebth.com/items/4162990-black-leather-coach-manor-handbag
It's authentic. We don't need links to items that aren't your bag. If you purchased this online, we need the seller's info and a link, if there is one. If you bought it at a thrift store or garage sale or were given it, then pictures are all we need.

Gotcha! I got it at an estate sale so the only pictures I had were the iffy ones I took. Thanks!

yep, it's fake. I bet the seller is using a one day listing to try to get it sold before it gets reported.

I had the same thought!
And look how successful she was! NOT!

In the past, sellers couldn't do 1-day listings for this type of item for just that reason. I wonder how she managed to do it. (And her authentic Coach is also a 1-day listing.)

Apparently not any more. In their eternal search for a bigger bottom line and even bigger golden parachutes for their increasingly incompetant Executives, they apparently let that restriction fall off the radar. Now all a seller apparently has to do is have a Feedback of 10 or more.

Just another addition in the 2958 (and counting) reasons I have for deciding to NEVER sell on Ebay, and why my buying has dropped to single digits per annum.
