Thank you so much! I’ve Never seen those stampers...makes sense now!

This is a photo from a 1987 catalog of one of the actual machines that stamped the numbers. The creed and serial numbers were stamped separately. I believe that first all the leather panels that made up the top layer of the inside pocket got the creed stamp, then the individual numbers were stamped just before the pockets were completed and sewn into the bags.

The photo also gives an idea of why creeds that are stamped too far down on the pocket might be a red flag. Creeds were usually much closer to the top edge of the pocket than to the bottom edge.

This item is in my possession. I have included the listing as well as my own photos because while seller’s photos are her own, they are somewhat vague.

Comments: Seller has been extremely kind and helpful throughout buying process. Bag was deeply discounted due to a broken zipper pull and very minor signs of wear.

There's some ongoing discussion on the ebay subforum concerning Ebay Authenticate, the sellers of luxury brands selling "guaranteed authentic" pre-authenticated items. Apparently the program has expanded to include "trusted" sellers, among them linda*s***stuff.

After finding previous fakes that were authenticated by My Poupette, I found this one that I'm curious about. (All her listings claim to have been authenticated by MP but there's no way some of those listings have pictures that would make a valid authentication possible!)

So I'm curious about this listing. Although the picture with the creed is illegible (and in fact, practically invisible), the description states that the serial number is N8H-6704. Actually, after saving and brightening the creed, I can see and read the serial number and the bag AUTHENTICATED BY MY POUPETTE IS FAKE!

Opinions?

Could you please help me with this Rogue 17? The seller has very limited reviews. Thank you all so much in advance!

I don't see any red flags. The details look good and consistent to me but I am unable to read the last three numbers of the serial number. I went in my store today to see if they had one but they sold out. I'd like to see a bigger clear readable photo of the serial number and a pic of the made in tag to confirm.

I wouldn't trust either MyPoupette or Linda*s***stuff to spot a fake Coach if it grew fangs and bit them on their collective arses.

There are NO verified genuine H plant Coaches with a more recent month code than "A", and the N month code is fake about 50 percent of the time. The genuine H plant code bags also had very different serial number fonts.

Not only is the "states" in the creed unusually squished together, but the Coach name in the cartouche above the creed is at an angle. We've seen these 2 details before but ONLY in fakes,. the angled logo would NEVER have been allowed to be used or even slipped through what passed for Coach's Quality Control in a genuine bag.

Most importantly - THE BAG IS A RIPOFF OF THE NEO DUFFLE SAC BUT HAS THE WRONG CREED STATEMENT. It says the bag is made of glove-tanned cowhide. It SHOULD say that it's a "custom developed material" trimmed with leather, since the Neos were made of neoprene, NOT leather. Here's a genuine Neo creed:

Yup, as soon as I lightened the creed to make it legible, I knew it was fake but since I'd already prepared the post, I finished and posted it.

I guess if nothing else, this'll help buyers who google and find the info. they'll be forewarned.

Can anyone tell me and therefore help to authenticate whether coach ever made the following Moto leather jackets? And not sure about that price tag - seems dodgy?
Thank you

Yep, and it answers the age-old question - how clueless does a seller and an "authenticator" have to be to miss a blatant red flag like a creed stamp that says a bag made of Neoprene fabric is made of cowhide ???

Of course it's not the first time we've seen screamingly obvious mistakes by both that seller and that "authenticator" and I'm sure it won't be the last.
