Hi, can someone help to authenticate this coach leather jacket with patches? It does seem authentic to me and its leather is very soft to touch. However I have never bought a coach jacket before, would really appreciate some professional opnion. Thanks!
So far, I believe it's okay.

Would you please post a picture of the made in label and if there's a care/content label, possibly on the lower left side inner seam, please post that too.

Hello, I recently purchased this bag and wondered if someone might be willing to take a look and let me know your opinions on authenticity.

Item: Basic Bag in British Tan
Listing number: 282752212129
Seller: toledo737-2012
Link: https://www.ebay.com/itm/Vintage-Co...ZDBiIuzAB9ZRsvE9WghuU%3D&orig_cvip=true&rt=nc
Comments: This bag appears new, leather is flawless although mildly musty smelling and a little stiff but thick and nice. The small white pouch in the last picture of the listing contains instructions on care, NYC factory info, a few little promo brochures, etc. There is a coating along the raw edge of the leather on the straps, but it's a lot more obvious in the listing photos than in person. Zipper says "Talon." I took a couple add'l pics including a clearer creed IMG_20171203_164602188.jpg IMG_20171203_163149864.jpg IMG_20171203_164349493.jpg in case they help.

Hi, here's the photos of its labels. Would be grateful if you could advise its authenticity. Thanks!

Just beware that the second seller, ProVintageGear has been mentioned here in the past with fakes. Apparently the seller doesn't always authenticate items prior to listing or doesn't know how to recognize fakes.

This is a listing currently posted on Etsy:

Authenticate This COACH

I take issue with the allegation that we knowingly sell fake bags. We do our best to authenticate and, if the bag is subsequently found to not be authentic, we pull the listing. If a non authentic bag has been sold by mistake and the buyer we provide a complete refund including original shipping and return shipping. This individual who posted this defamatory allegation [ Been Burned ] sent me an email last night alleging this bag was not authentic. I am always interested in making sure a bag we have listed is authentic and I replied to her email and asked for information that would substantiate the claim that it was not authentic. However, Been Burned but would not provide any corroborating details to back up the allegation. Instead, Been Burned referred me to this forum without providing a link to any discussion of this bag on this forum or any other evidence that would back up her allegation that the bag is fake. Before this bag was listed we checked the Coach catalogs and confirmed it has the same style number on the creed as the listing in the catalog. [see attached catalog listing]

When we are presented with evidence that a bag is not authentic we pull the bag. Since we respect the purse forum and since Been Burned has made a vague allegation that our shop has been mentioned in the forum with fakes we have pulled the bag from our listings to have it investigated further. To my knowledge there has only been one other bag we had listed mentioned in this forum that had its authenticity questioned and we pulled that listing as soon as the issue was raised.

I am asking this individual who refers to their self as 'Been Burned' withdraw this defamatory innuendo.

Thank you

Greg Gibbs

The listing is not available for me to view. Did you remove it, or did etsy? If you would like to post pictures of the bag, I'll be happy to give you an opinion. Many counterfeits look like authentic styles. Just because you have a catalog picture and the style number on the creed matches doesn't prove an item is authentic. Some counterfeiters aren't stupid. They use the correct numbers, but they don't always get the right year, factory number, month code, font, spacing, or other details. Without seeing the pictures of your bag, I can't tell you why Beenburned said it was fake, but I have complete faith in her ability to authenticate. If she said it was fake, she had a very good reason for doing so.

@greggibbs Um, only one other listing needed to be pulled? Well I still remember that unfortunate red bag that was missing its dowels from a month or two a ago. There were others. I have to log off as my lunch is over. I can do a search later and confirm more than just one other listing has been pulled. Or better yet Mr. Gibbs, you could do a search of this thread and Hall of Shame and see with your own eyes for yourself.

I pulled the bag when I learned there was a post on the purse forum questioning its authenticity.

Hi Greg,

You have too many listings for me to spend time going through all of them, but I'm wondering why did you obscure half the creed in this listing? https://www.etsy.com/listing/272044...a_search_query=coach&ref=shop_items_search_60
Is it because you know someone would realize there are problems with it?

This one is definitely fake: https://www.etsy.com/listing/541102...a_search_query=coach&ref=shop_items_search_84

As you may or may not know I voluntarily pulled the red Weston bag when its authenticity was questioned and after further investigation we confirmed it was not authentic and it was not relisted. Instead we destroyed the bag to keep it from being resold. And I did just do a search on the 'Hall of Shame' and learned for the first time that there are other bags that have been questioned. I found a post questioning the authenticity of a Coach Abbey bag and that listing has been deactivated while the issues raised are investigated.

The creed was not deliberately obscured on the ergo. I will fix that. Is there any thing else about that ergo that you question. As for the mini satchel. Please advise provide me with the specifics as to why you believe it's fake. In the meantime I will list it as reserved so we do not sell a questioned bag to anyone.
