Welcome to TPF.

Have you received the bag yet? Is the bag still in the seller's possession? Either way, we need to see a legible picture of the creed and serial number.

It's not necessary to recopy the pictures from the listing. If you have additional pictures to show, i.e., the creed and serial number, then you can add that.

Just received the bag today! I'm looking for the creed but don't see it. Now I'm thinking its a fake :/ Can you confirm?

Dear authenticators, could you please take a look at this bag? https://www.ebay.com/itm/222592997349 My other question - did those bags really come in dark green? What do you think, can it be green or it's a faded black?

I think the color is simply a faded black. The inside pocket in vintage bags often is the best indication of the original color and I don't see even a hint of green on that pocket. And it's NOT from the 1970s as the seller claims but from the late 1980s based on the Made in the United States stamp, probably between 1988 and 1989 and looks like a genuine Dinky Bag, style 9375.

Thanks! I saw you posted the colors collection from the 1980s here before, and the only green there is sage, so this must be black.

I agree the bag looks black. However, there was a forest green available around this time. I had a dark green pocket purse from the same era. It was definitely green.

Hello,
I've never purchased a used bag before. Hopefully someone can help authenticate this. I have searched in this thread and did see someone post about this seller before. That he/she sells a lot of coach bags. I requested a picture of the inside of the bag and the creed # this morning and they got back to me fairly quickly (about an hour later). I recently got the Coach swagger 27 and I love it so much that I want the bigger size. I thought the # would be like mine but I don't know if its different on the bigger size.
My swagger 27 is made in Philippines and the No. is located on the label. But the pic she sent, the number is on a white tag and Made in China.

Here is the ebay link: https://www.ebay.com/itm/382299136400?
Seller: seeds208

I'm including a screenshot of their reply and the pics they sent me.
Thank you very much

The bag in the listing (and the pictures the seller sent) looks fine.

In 2014 through early 2016, Coach removed serial numbers from creeds and began using a white tag with production numbers/serial number. Then part way through 2016, they went back to putting serials back on the creed. The bag you're asking about was made in 2015, so during the time when the production information wasn't on the creed.

(They also did some other nonsense with creeds, serial numbers, non-serial numbers, white tags, etc. that I won't go into.)

Hi! So glad to have found this forum. I hope I'm posting correctly and would SO appreciate it if someone could authenticate this bag, thank you!!! I purchased it and had no idea how much of a learning curve there is before purchasing a vintage Coach bag.
If it's authentic, might anyone know when this was made? Much appreciated!!!!

Genuine. I think it's a Stewardess Bag but you're not showing any photos of the panel under the flap where the ID pocket is so it's hard to be sure. If the strap is tapered near the ends we'd like to see that too.

It was made in the early to mid-1980s.

And welcome to tPF!
