So I went back to the store and let them know it was not an authentic bag. The girl there would only offer me store credit and she couldn't have cared less that it was inauthentic. Apparently they don't verify authenticity and they price things based on condition, not brand...even though the label said coach clear as day. I'm looking on ebay and found another weston, would you lovely authenticators please verify? I am having a hard time with the serial number...and I'm wondering why they didn't just take the pocket out to get a clearer picture of it hmm

This one looks good.

Thank you "beenburned". Hope it's ok to ask a couple questions here for any of the authenticators. The seller mentioned it is from the 70's. Just wondering if anyone is able to tell me a little about it. I was curious if it is a Bonnie Cashin handbag. I thought I read somewhere if there is a serial number, then it isn't. If not, it is still a beautiful vintage bag. (I apologize if this next question should be in another thread.) Also wondering if this is a bag that would be safe to restore, meaning a bath and conditioning. Are there times, depending on the patina that it would be best to not soak and condition a vintage bag? I've ordered Leather CPR and Blackrock, but not sure about using these products, especially on a lighter colored bag like this. Thank you, as I so appreciate your opinions!
You are correct; if there is a serial number, it isn't a Bonnie Cashin. Bonnie left Coach in 1974 and they probably started using numbers around 1977-1978. The style may have been created when Bonnie Cashin was still at Coach, but this particular bag was probably made anywhere from around 1977-1989. If it were mine, I would rehab it just like I do most vintage bags, with a bath and conditioning with CPR and Blackrocks. The patina will just become prettier with a full rehab. It is important to make sure it gets fully saturated in the bath.

"The girl there" is wrong and in violation of federal trademark law. (This isn't to say that they're alone; just that the law is clear. It's illegal to sell fakes and ignorance of the brand and/or law is no excuse.)

If you prefer a cash (or c.c.) refund, ask to speak to the manager and if the manager balks and if you paid with a credit card, file a dispute with the card issuer.

This will all be added to my "Vintage Coach Notebook". Thank you so much for your time and all your knowledge. It is very much appreciated!

Good afternoon! I was wondering if someone could please authenticate this keychain?

Item: Coach Blue Bird Keychain

Item number: 162717890859

Seller: Magicaldeals1998_0

Link: https://m.ebay.com/itm/Coach-Blue-B...6a91e138fffd8b9c%7Ciid%3A2#vi__app-cvip-panel

I also took some pictures after the items was received. I was just concerned because the seller seems new and has a lot of coach keychains.

Thanks

Testing my suspicions...

Item: REAL Vintage COACH Black Extra Large Bucket Duffle Feed Bag Handbag #9085 Retail
Listing number: 263281930795
Seller: madelina69 (20)
Link: https://www.ebay.com/itm/REAL-Vinta...le-Feed-Bag-Handbag-9085-Retail-/263281930795
Comments: Even though the item sold, was wondering if D4F is legit? Also, the No looks off too (as well as other construction details).

TIA
There was an F plant that as far as I know was only used for business items. It had a very unique font. This one is fake, also because the pocket is way too big.

Testing my suspicions...

Item: Coach tan purse
Listing number: 272903081132
Seller: collectir (474)
Link: https://www.ebay.com/itm/Coach-tan-purse/272903081132
Comments: Is B2A legit (especially for what from the strap configuration looks to be trying to be a Whitney series bag)?

TIA
I'm seeing a style number of 9950, which obviously isn't the right style number. There are instances where we see a legitimate A plant code, but this isn't one of them. I think the latest A plant code I've seen was 1996 or 1997. Besides the wrong style number, it has the wrong lining and wrong zipper pull.

It's fine. I don't see any problems with any of the listings for the seller. Now I know who was doing all that bidding! lol
