I did some digging to see other posts of 7171 and some that were authenticated had the same sort of puckering around the turnlock. Additionally, I read an interesting comment from Hyacinth that her catalog has the logo in the bottom right but authentic ones have them in the upper right. I don't care either way if it's authentic or not, I can just return it if it's not. But are we surrrrrrre it's fake? Since it doesn't have a creed, might it have been one of the first runs where the logo was on the bottom right but they changed it, hence the catalog photo? I would be interested to know what decade or year these were sold as I have some old catalogs I'd like to take a gander at.
See my comment above.

There are also fakes with the stamp under the flap!

Hey all, can i have this authenticated please:
model, year, collection, mens/womens
thanks so much

It's probably from the business line but since it's also a Made For Factory outlet item it's almost impossible to find much information on it. Ebay sellers are calling it a Saffiano Leather Lexington Zip Top Business Crossbody according to a quick search. Maybe you might find more information searching there for Coach 71286.

As indicated in the two following posts, one of which shows the catalog picture as posted by Hyacinth, the logo doesn't show. And in the other post, Whateve comments that because the logo is under the flap, that explains why you can't see it in the catalog pic.

1. Hyacinth's post with catalog picture: https://forum.purseblog.com/threads...oach-fakes-here.824098/page-198#post-29788165
2. And in this post, Hyacinth states, "Both the catalog and real-life pics don't have a logo stamp except for the one with the bad hangtag." (She was looking at a fake while referring to the catalog)

3. Whateve's post showing the location of the stamp and the comment about it not showing in the catalog picture:

Here's the listing:
https://item.mercari.com/gl/m38214197715/

It's authentic.

Warning Mercari buyers: While looking for this bag, I came quite a few other very obvious fakes. I don't know how good Mercari is about responding to reports.
Thank you! Have been struggling for five minutes trying to get the last picture to post and finally figured I had to go to my computer to get the Mercari link....Appreciate your finding it first! : )

I hope andine does the right thing.
So I need some help here. Poshmark emailed me back about the counterfeit Coach Willis bag sold by andine on Poshmark. They have asked for photos to back up why the bag is counterfeit. I took a photo of that bag next to my other as it's smaller then my authentictic one. I also took a photo of the dowels and the back of the brass turnlock as well as the really bad stitching on the handle compared to mine. What else can I give them to help get my money back from her?

You need to show some documentation that all J8Y prefixes are fake. Y was never a valid plant code for the US. I don't think a Y was ever used for a plant code anywhere.

I think the padding above the turnlock might be the wrong shape. Compare the placement of the pockets. Look at the inside zipper pocket - does it have stops at both ends and does it go all the way from end to end, or is a little too short for the pocket?

Compare the shape of the top handles. An authentic one will taper so the edging will be closer together at the ends than in the center.

Thanks. I will send the link for the J8Y prefix as well as the photos I took and the ones you mentioned I should take. This is a one time exception so I need to get it right. I took a photo of the counterfeit against my three authentic black Willis bags and it's extremely obvious to me so I hope they think so also. Clearly she has no intention of addressing this situation and I think Poshmark should block her from selling due to how she handled this situation w zero communication. Her Poshmark profile says she doesn't sell counterfeit bags, clearly she does.
