Hi, thanks
I've never seen this style of bag before, is it authentic? And if so what style is it? http://www.ebay.com/itm/Vintage-Coach-Purse-Handbag-Unique-Style-And-Closure-Excellent-Condition/122628062059?ssPageName=STRK:MEBIDX:IT&_trksid=p2055119.m1438.l2649

seller ID: plossy1518
item num: 122628062059
Thanks in advance
It's probably an authentic Terrace bag #4117 from the West End Lightweights Collection from around 1992. Seller didn't give any measurements. It should be about 10 x 7 x 4 1/2.

Name: COACH 58840 Tea Rose Applique Leather Rogue 25 Shoulder Bag Black

I commented on the details that were mentioned as problematic in the "Funny Fakes" thread:

The poster said "I just had to comment that the hardware looks off, it's not suppose to be shiny gunmetal and I don't see the copper/pinkish rivets or the darker rivets in the flower's center. Hope someone does see this in the authentic thread."

After looking for others on Ebay, I replied:
"Are you using an actual bag bought directly from Coach for comparison? Because the 58840 website photo and color and trim description doesn't match any of the ones on Ebay so it's not much help. Although Coach.com shows the metal as Brass, none of the black ones on Ebay have brass hardware, they're all Gunmetal. And I don't see any coppery color rivets in the flowers of the Ebay listings either. So did Coach change those details during production, or did they post the wrong info in the description? Or are the ones on Ebay all fake?

There are literally thousands of posts just in the Rogue Club thread when I search for "Rogue tea rose black" and even more posts in other threads. I don't have the time or the patience to look through 250 pages of posts hoping to find info or photos of the style so unless we can get some solid information and photos or links to photos of actual 58840s in that leather and color and bought from Coach or one of their partners there's no way to know what's right or wrong about the bag in the post.
"

Any Rogue 25 Tea Rose style 58840 owners or experts are welcome to comment. I don't get involved with newer styles and haven't followed any discussions on Rogues. Here's Coach's website:

I also added a comment to the Funny fake! thread but rather than repeating, I'll just include a link to that post:

Dear authenticators,
Do you have enough information and pics to be able to authenticate Rogue satchels? I have 3 bought directly from Coach and will be more than happy to take pics and share details you may need.

It depends.

Without going back to find the posts, there were some bags (same style and made in same year) where some of the bags had creeds with serial numbers and some had creeds without serials but with the white labels.

I find that it can be almost painful to authenticate but I would appreciate having the pictures PM'ed. I'll save them for my records. (It's probably a good idea to email to the 3 of us so we all have the info.)
