This is what I believe is a Stewardess bag from the 80s. I need help authenticating it please.

It looks ok to me, made some time between 1980 and 1988.

If the bag is in your possession you should mention that in your request. If it's currently or recently listed for sale on the internet, then the format set out in Post number 1 of this thread should be followed.

Hi there, I'm a Coach lover but in the UK so a good vintage Coach is hard to find. I would really appreciate your authentication opinion on this one:

Item:
COACH Ladies Tan Brown Leather Single Strap Handle Cross Body Bag Small

Listing number: 132278912343
Seller: stuffusell

It's authentic. I don't think it is "new without tags." It is a very small bag.

This bag has a copyright mark (circled r) by the word "Coach" in the creed. Don't think I've ever seen this before.

It's an authentic zippered clutch or basic bag. The copyright symbol is on most creeds that have the glued in serial number. I believe they used these creeds for about 3 years around 1980.

Ugh! I wish sellers would be honest in their listings. There's nothing wrong with saying that she's selling the bag as "pre-owned" but it doesn't appear to have been used.

In fact, her item specifics imply that it was used: “This item is in a good condition. There are no apparent damages.” There's nothing wrong with selling a lightly used bag! Just be honest!

Thanks so much for your replies and also the comment about the size which is really helpful. The seller is a business that sells on behalf of others, maybe even house clearances, but I can't deny that the new without tags attracted me to the listing. That description obviously creates an expectation whereas lightly used can mean different things to different people! I won't be going ahead on this one.

I'm not sure if new members can send PMs.There used to be a section for the basic rules but now I can't find it. If you're trying to send a PM or "start a conversation" as it's now called, click on that person's ID and click on the "send message" link.
