And one more please. Purchased early Feb from EBay. I dont think the listing is still up, but the seller was giovyone. What I hope is an authentic Berkley. 9 1/2-ish" h in the middle of the bag, 10 1/2-ish" at the widest toward the bottom. Again, thanks.

Ashley F19761 leather convertible hobo wisteria purple 13.5"length x6"height(lowest point)x6"deep
Purchased online several years ago (2013/14?maybe) from an official Coach sales event on eBay sponsored by eBay themselves. Didn't think to keep the invoice or question authenticity until becoming more active on TPF. Never found an occasion to open the protective packaging to carry the bag & am clearing out unused things, so planning to sell it. Is it possible to authenticate with hardware protection still in place?

The first one is genuine, style number is actually 9872 and it's a Classic Compartment Tote from 1998. The second one in post 24065 is a genuine Berkeley Saddle Bag from 1996.

It's a genuine Ashley Leather Convertible Hobo made in late 2012 for the Factory Stores.

They all look good.

The bag in the photos is genuine, made in 1999.
Hi, Hyacith! So I ended up buying the bag and on its way to being rehabbed. :) I would just like to confirm if all city bags have rectangular hardwares with breaks in the metal? I noticed that mine has. Please refer to the photo attached as an illustration wherein you can see that there's a gap in the metal hardware. I did not notice it earlier because the gap on my bag was positioned under the leather loop. I remember reading somewhere that coach bags have continuous metal loops or maybe I just confused that with Dooney and Bourke hardware features? Hope you can shed light to my worries. Other than that concern, the bag does feel and look genuine. :)

That is correct for a city bag. The ring is turned the wrong way. It should be turned so the open part is hidden inside the leather loop. There are other bags where the rings are supposed to be a continuous loop, without breaks.
