I just answered on the other thread where you posted. I'll try to copy here.

ETA: Since you said you bought the bag on ebay, please post the seller ID and link to the listing as required per post #1 of this thread.

PLEASE WAIT FOR OTHERS.

I'd like to hear other opinions. I've tried to hunt down other listings of this bag but was only able to find Coach's Asian .com sites and Coach doesn't show creeds on the site.

I'm a little concerned. Although the style number seems correct for the bag it's on, I'm not sure whether the bag should have this type of serial number, i.e., prefix with date and plant codes and suffix with style number.

From what I've seen of the 1941 collection bags (and the dinky from that collection,) it should have an oddball creed with a prefix and suffix that isn't indicative of the style. The prefix on those bags should be an abbreviation of the name of the style.

And those I've found do NOT have a spelling error! Nor do they have the "R" trademark symbol under the serial number. There are differences in the stitching down the sides of the creed patch.

I'm seeing too many differences that worry me.

Here are a couple of examples and links to the listings.

And for comparison purposes, I'm adding your creed picture:

BB - I've posted a few comments and pics on the general subject of the new serial numbers over at the Answers to Authenticity Questions thread, but please carry on with the questions about this listing in particular. Post 1591.

Good evening, everyone? It's been a long time that I've been on here, but I'm getting an itch to hunt for my Coach black bags. I appreciate your feedback before I consider to place a bid. Thank you and have a nice weekend!

I don't see any problems. More opinions are welcome.

I agree, they all look good.

And a bit off-topic - let's see what kind of surprise, if any, the forum holds for us on this lovely April First...

Hmmmmmm, nothing yet. But considering the state of the world, maybe many peoples' sense of humor has taken too much of a beating already. SAD.

Good morning everyone,

I am wondering if this is authentic. It looks to be in good shape. Maybe too good? Like the bag might have some kind of shoe polish on it? See how suspicious I am now? LOL.

Item: British Tan Court Bag
Listing:302260613809
Seller: ccsantosp
Link:http://www.ebay.ca/itm/302260613809?_trksid=p2055119.m1438.l2649&ssPageName=STRK:MEBIDX:IT

Many Thanks

The bag looks genuine, but there's no way to tell what kinds of chemicals or conditioners might have been used on it. Opaque shoe polish is probably more likely to be used on darker colors like black, navy or brown. Since the seller's listing says that she welcomes any questions, try contacting her and ask what she believes was used to rehab or condition it.

Maybe Whateve can take a look at it.

I think it looks like it has been conditioned. I don't think it has been painted since you can see flaws up close.

Hello all. At your convenience please authenticate this bag in my possession. I want to consign it but would like to be absolutely sure it is authentic.

Approximately 11" x 8" x 4". Patricia's Legacy?

There have been some really accurate but still fake Bean Bag creeds, but this one seems to be ok. Like Whateve said, a picture of stamping on the "male" part of the magnetic snap would confirm it but it looks like a genuine Lindsay Bag style 9888 from around 1990.
Thank you, this is a close up of the snap. I was just able to take more pictures, without flash.
