Would you kindly authenticate, please?
Also, I think this bag is painted - feels very plasticky and there are 2 drip marks! Ugh! Have you seen anyone successfully return to Mercari?

Comments: did this originally come with a thicker strap? This one's only 1/2"

Authentic. I think that is the correct strap. I know nothing about Mercari.

It's genuine. A lot of small accessories don't show where they were made. It's a Gramercy style, I own the same one but don't have a name for it, but in the Madison line it's called a Continental Clutch so it's probably the same style name for the Gramercys..

Authentic. I don't have a catalog page for it but I've seen this wallet IRL. I suspect it was called something like Gramercy continental clutch since it is organized like the Madison continental clutch but that is just a guess.

Thanks so much! Do you think that my guess at the date as 1998 is correct? I was going by the date of my Gramercy Zip Bag 7001. Thanks again!

lol, your edited response looks a lot like mine just below yours! GMTA

Honestly, I didn't copy your answer! I kept looking through my pics and catalogs until I spotted the Madison version after I made the original post, and I took a really close look at my own wallet to see if there was a Made In stamp hidden anywhere but couldn't find one. I should have checked for new posts before I added the edit, but I never do. That would be too easy. Obsessive-compulsive constant editing up until the window closes is more challenging, and more fun.

I can't count the number of times I've done it too. And isn't it funny how we feel the need to explain that we didn't copy and just that GMTA!
