Not for a dispute. I wanted to authenticate a green duffle sac 9085 which I bought on ebay (for a dear price) within the 30 day return. It was from 1994 but in such mint condition I was incredulous. I was brand new to the forum and the rules seemed to prevent me from a request until vetted and having replied to five threads...BTW, since posting about A4U yesterday I heard from them today, they're reviewing the bag!
I have a quick question. For clarification, I'm curious. Do you need a professional authentication for a dispute? If you're simply looking for an authentication, there's no need to spend money on it. We're happy to help here.

I'm glad you've heard back from them.

I can't tell you how many times I've found seemingly new and/or barely used items at thrift, consignment or other second hand stores. I've also donated items that I bought, hardly used and realized that the item didn't work for me and thus, donated.

IMG_2327.JPG IMG_2325.JPG IMG_2324.JPG IMG_2323.JPG Hi everyone! Brand new here so forgive me if I missed something in the protocol for authenticating a bag.

This bag is in my possession and would like to know if it is indeed authentic before I put much time into cleaning it up.

Thanks in advance for your help and please let me know if you need more pics.

You can post it here if you'd like another opinion.

Good Morning All... Please Authenticate this bag... The color and lining look off to me...

It's authentic.

What seems off about the color and lining?

I have never seen the this bag with that lining and not the color either.. Is is special in some way
Although I've not seen that actual bag, I've seen the lining on a few occasions and there's nothing about the bag that indicates that it's not authentic. It looks like the 146XX style Sydneys have solid lining and (most) 148XX have dotted lining.

Although some sellers refer to limited edition, I don't know that they are limited although they seem relatively rarer than the solid lining.

Here are listings for Sydney bags (different style, same series) with the same lining:

in addition when you look into the bag at the bottom where the two pieces of leather are sewn together you see light.
Thanks
Linda
I'm not sure what you mean. Do you mean the white part of the suede inside near the seams? That is normal. The suede side of the leather was often shaved before sewing, resulting in some areas that look undyed.
