Please post authenticity questions related to COACH in this thread. No PMs please.

Please follow the following requests:
  • Before you submit a request for authentication, please search this thread to make sure that the item has not previously been authenticated by searching the seller ID and/or item number. This is not a thread to ask general questions about COACH, please refer to our main Coach forum for such information.
  • Note that authenticators have the right to refuse any requests. This is a free service, but it is imperative that you help our authenticators by using the following format:

BASIC PICTURES REQUIRED (but more may be requested): If necessary pictures are in the listing, it's not necessary to upload and duplicate them.
  • Front of item
  • Back of item
  • Full clear and legible creed text and serial number
  • Made in tags (when available)
  • Measurements
  • For bags with turnlock closures, show pictures of back of female side of turnlock
  • For bags with magnetic snaps, show pictures of the male part of the snap so that the numbers and letters on it can be read
  • If applicable, search interior of bag and/or pockets for small white tag with production information and include a picture of that.

Hi, Not sure if I'm replying to last post, not meaning to. Didn't see a place on phone to start new subject / question.
I just purchased this Multi- Function Purse on eBay. It's in great condition & I was happy until I noticed that inside zipper pull is not brass, like it's other hardware. The embossed Coach lozenge may be slightly different too, otherwise I see no difference, same measurements. BTW, It's the black I'm comparing beside the brown one I know is authentic. I got the brown one for $11 - WoHo!

I think it's the black one you're questioning, right? I don't see any problems.

Good afternoon, I don't know if the Plaza bag has had design variations over the years such as different dog leash clasps and whether the back slip pocket was always there. I'm questioning this particular bag's authenticity for several reasons, particularly because the creed doesn't have any numbers and the top handle is attached with extreme sloppiness. What do you all think?

Yes, it's fake. The back slip pocket should always be there. Straps can be changed out so aren't used for authenticating. The creed should have numbers. It is blurry but I'm pretty sure I see "scrtches"

First I'll state that a valid and/or seemingly correct serial number, i.e., one that "matches" the bag it's on doesn't mean that the bag is authentic. Counterfeiters can and do put "correct" serial numbers on fakes.

Therefore we can't authenticate (as genuine) a bag with a "real" serial number. We have to see the bag it's on as well as the full creed.

Based on what you've shown, I don't see any red flags and the part of the bag I can see seems okay. That creed would be correct for the bag it's on. But in order to authenticate the bag, we need to see pictures of the bag.

if you purchase it, come back to post pictures.
