Thank you and be safe!

Hello..These are the images for the second coach that was kicked off. It is a WIllis bag. I know some WIllis bags are copied so here goes:

AGAIN, I appreciate any and all feedback. Have a great day!
This is a fake (wannabe) Willis.

Hello everyone! You all have helped me before and I am hoping you can do the same now. I used to authenticate in this forum under Vintage Gucci but I need some help with 2 of my listings that were kicked off. I dont have the listing numbers because when they kick off a listing you can no longer find it so I just have some photos. I hope I can post these correctly. Here goes
Name: Coach pleated front hobo black leather
http://imgs.inkfrog.com/pix/auctiongrove/pleated1.JPG
http://imgs.inkfrog.com/pix/auctiongrove/pleat1.JPG
http://imgs.inkfrog.com/pix/auctiongrove/pleat3.JPG

http://imgs.inkfrog.com/pix/auctiongrove/pleat2.JPG

ANY help would be greatly appreaciated

There's no valid reason for that one to have been removed, it's a perfectly genuine Leather Pleated Hobo from 2005. An authentication company like Authenticate4U has qualified Coach experts who should be able to verify that if you need a letter to relist it.

If you bought it recently I hope you can get your money back. "BIN" and "B1N" are known always fake serial number prefixes, see the original Daria48 Fake Coach Numbers List also posted at Ebay:
http://www.ebay.com/gsr/i.html?uid="daria48"&rmvSB=true
and
http://www.ebay.com/gds/Fake-Coach-Serial-Numbers-NT-4903-and-more-/10000000002744619/g.html
"BIN- has been showing up as a prefix on many questionable bags and always with a creed that says it was made in the US. Not only was the N plant code used for a different country, but the middle digit is definitely a capital "i" and not the number 1. That middle digit in that kind of serial number format should be a number, not a letter. The font is also slightly different from the other font styles from the time period the bags are supposed to be from. "
Since that was posted the prefix has been determined to be in the Always Fake category.

Thank you all so much for letting me know about the Authentication of the bags. I am so embarrased at the fact that I thought the WIllis bag was authentic. I have been selling designer bags on eBay for over 15 years and every once in awhile I still get fooled. Thanks Again people!!

You're welcome. (Please check your PMs!)

One thing I want to emphasize, and it's something that's really hard for most experienced Coach sellers to appreciate until they've experienced it - no matter how much you know or how much experience you have, there are some TINY details that indicate a Coach bag is fake that even the most experienced seller won't recognise unless they read this particular thread every day and save notes and photos on both genuine and fake Coach bags. Something as simple as a few missing stitches or small differences in the fonts of creeds and serial numbers are absolute proofs that something is fake, but I doubt if more than a few dozen sellers are aware of how critical those details are, AND are capable of recognizing the ones that indicate problems.

When we tell members here, whether buyers or sellers, to have Coach items authenticated before buying or listing, we're NOT just trying to make ourselves feel important. This is the case with the "Duffle Sac" in your photos - two small details look fine to almost everyone except a few anal-retentive authenticators like us who know that Detail A, B, or C doesn't match that same detail in the genuine examples we've seen, and have a large photo library with examples of both for comparison. (Someone who owns a genuine 9085 could probably find more problems but my more limited experience was only able to find two.)

If it's any consolation, it's a very close fake, so close in fact that just in the last few weeks I found a fake of a different style but apparently from the same source in my own collection when I finally took the time to examine a serial number very closely. A "good" fake can fool just about anyone unless they're specifically looking for those tiny details that aren't quite right. That's why authenticating Coaches here is so important, no matter how much experience someone has. And not just the commonly faked styles either, almost anything can and probably already has been faked. Just because a style isn't a Duffle or a Willis doesn't mean it's probably OK. "Whatever a maker can make, a faker can fake".

And PLEASE check those links I posted earlier, Daria48's Fakes List Parts 1 and 2 alone can often save a buyer or seller from making an expensive mistake. It's not perfect or all-inclusive but it does list many of the "popular" fake and questionable numbers and can help avoid potential headaches or worse.

Don't you hate when that happens? I have two bags that I was sure were authentic until much later. Then by accident, I noticed something was off. Once I really examined them, it became pretty obvious.

Yep, if I hadn't been thinking of swapping or "loaning" its strap to another bag I'd just bought it probably would have escaped me too. My Purse Room is on the north side of the building and doesn't get much light so I took it into another room and then noticed the font. AND the back of the turnlock. :crybaby:

That's what happened to me on one of mine. What makes it worse is that I owned several authentic versions of the same style, so I should have been able to see the difference. On the other I felt something rough on the underside of the buckle, and when I held it under the light saw the "solid brass" engraving. Then I realized the font was off.

ETA: I'm glad I'm not the only one who has a purse room!
