I apologize for the delay in responding. I must have missed your post when you made it. But at this point, I'm certainly glad I found it because I'm not comfortable with the seller chicandpanache.

The bag you received and showed in your pictures does NOT appear to be the same bag as is shown in the listing.

Your bag has brown lining and a brown creed.
The listing shows black lining and a black creed.

Your pictures show a tag with style 37785.
The listing states that the bag is style 36875.

Inside the bag, there should be a "made in" label sewn in the lining as well as another tag with production information sewn either in the lining seam or buried inside the zipper pocket. Please post a picture of those additional labels.

Hello guys im new to this
I bought this Coach Swagger at instagram. The price is in the middle. Can you guys help me to authenticate my bag?

Im afraid to go to store if its fake

Serial number : H157736235

Seller : liebeelux.authentic

Thankyou..

With a style as highly faked and as well-faked as the Swaggers, I recommend extreme caution in buying online. If an online purchase is the only resort, I recommend sellers with proven histories of selling authentic items.

I also like to see a seller's history but when the seller has a private account, I can't even see their listings or history.

I also found this site for the seller but none of the listings have enough pictures to authenticate her items.

Had you come here before purchasing, I wouldn't have recommended the seller unless and until her listings had multiple pictures and were viewable to all.

I already use the ***************** and said mine was authentic. Thankyou for the suggestions here

In my personal opinion I would NEVER recommend ******************* to authenticate Coach products, they've made mistakes with Coach in the past. I believe they even had someone posting here under a different name than the ones they have already been banned from these forums with (two or three times, in fact) to ask about Coach items because they weren't able to authenticate them correctly themselves. In that case, their customer could have asked here and gotten a FREE opinion from exactly the same experts instead of paying for one that was actually authenticated here anyway.

Just my opinion, of course. Without actually being able to see the seller's photos and history, authenticating a bag as highly and expertly faked as a Swagger is really difficult.
May I ask why you came here if you already paid a "professional?" Personally, I'm still not comfortable enough with the pictures to be able to agree with the finding you got from that other company.

Is it just me or is there several things just not right about this coin purse? The chain, the hang tag, the imprinted Coach on the inside, even the turnlock doesn't look right.

It doesn't look right to me either. The back of the male part of the turnlock looks like it has prongs that come through the leather to the front of that piece to attach it. The coin purses I have like that have a completely different back on the female piece, none have the Coach name stamped like that on the inside, and the shape of the purse itself looks wrong. It's supposed to be a City Bag but it's too round at the base. The very first one they made, style 7248 from 1995, had a smaller rounder base too but the turnlock was bigger than this one The chain for the keyring has too many links too. Below is a pic of the original 7248 from Spring 1995.

There's one pic in my files of the very early version 7248 from 1995 that seems to be genuine and actually does have the handbag-style turnlock with the 4 prongs, but that style of turnlock was replaced in later versions. It doesn't have the Coach logo stamped on the inside though. None of my actual pouches or any of the ones in my photo files do.

Coach played with details on those over the years but I've never seen any with the details we both mentioned. Hard to be 100 percent sure that it's fake, but I know I wouldn't buy it. Those HAVE been faked so it's best to be cautious.

Another big difference with dstrub1 's item is in the thickness and style of grommet through which the chain and hang tag feed. I've never seen ridges like that.

EDIT: There's also a slight difference in the size and shape of the front of the female part of the turnlock. The side-by-side comparison shows that the seller's item is slightly less elongated (left to right) and slightly thicker.

Yep, the back of the TURNLOCK plate should have a ridge, but not the grommet.

And the turnlock is higher up on the flap than the red one. I think it should be closer to the bottom of the flap.

A lot of small differences. But I'd rather be overly cautious with something like that, especially since I don't really know what changes Coach may have made with a brand-new style that was still being tweaked - even the turnlocks they eventually settled on were a new design for them. The things that really seem like red flags are the logo stamp on the inside - if they put a stamp anywhere it seems like it should have been outside, on the base since I've seen one or two of those - and the too-long keyring chain.

With regard to the chain, either that chain isn't original to the item or it's another difference that continues to raise questions. I can't really see the chain links in the catalog picture you posted but IIRC, the items I've had had basic thin, round links rather than the twisted and thicker s-shaped links at the coin purse in question.

Another thing I noticed is that in at least some of the keychains I've seen, the rings on both ends of the chain are like miniature split keyrings. It might be something else that Coach changed over the years but this is what I've seen:

Keyring end^^

The following 2 pics show the grommet end.

I hope that one of you dedicated authenticators can help authenticate a bag for me. I don't know how to include a link to a listing or copy information into an email on my IPad and my granddaughter isn't close by to help! I was already an adult when Bonnie Cashin was designing for Coach and teaching this old dog new tricks is getting increasingly harder.

The bag is described as a "Companion" bag and is listed on eBay by minter59, #152388463507.

I bought 4 coach bags on eBay in the last month, at least 3 of which I now know to be fake. Am working through the authentication thread now --page 88, only close to 1900 to go!

Welcome to the purse forum. Here is the link: http://www.ebay.com/itm/Vintage-COA...463507?hash=item237b0f6b93:g:ZOwAAOSwo4pYcpgD
The bag in the listing is an authentic Ranch bag #9852 from around 1991.
